Guest guest
(Opportunity to join an online information-only newsletter for disability related issues and events concerning Texas) The Texas Disability Network is an online newsletter for parents, professionals, disability and advocacy organizaions, legislators, and service providers, to receive information that affects Texans touched by disability. As the parent of a child with autism, and as listowner and facilitator of Texas Autism Advocacy - it has always been my mission to empower parents with information that will help them in caring for and raising a child with autism. It has always been my desire to do that by uniting in one place - parents and professionals, as well as disability organizations and service providers. The Texas Disability Network is an online clearinghouse for all disability related organizations and state agencies to be able to post their information and action alerts for the benefit of others. The Texas Disability Network is a place for all Texans to share their disability related information with others. Clearly, for the upcoming Legislative Session, the only way we are going to make changes in Texas is for all of us to be fully informed and to speak with one voice. No matter what our individual differences! I am creating this newsletter-only " distribution list " so that all the individual entities across Texas can share their information for the purpose of informing and uniting other Texans touched by disability. The process is simple - if you are a parent or professional that has information for the benefit of others - send me an e-mail and I will compile the information and then send it to all who are subscribed to the Texas Disability Network - newsletter-only distribution list. Texas Disability Network is NOT an interactive list. It is a newsletter- only list, where only the list owner can send messages. So by joining, your mailbox will not be in overdrive. You will only receive informative messages having to do with disability issues and events in Texas. Please join me in urging all individuals with disabilities, parents of children with disabilities, disability/advocacy related organizations, state and local disability agencies, legislatures, and service providers, as well as parents - to join this distribution list. This distribution belongs to TEXAS individuals touched by disabilities - this Texas Disability Network is just a tool to spread more information to more Texans....
