He is 10 years old and has absolutely no insurance coverage. She is afraid he will get a broken leg or something and have no coverage. Anyone know who she can contact? Guest guest
Hi Corky, Are your friends self-employed? It can be extremely difficult to get health insurance if you are self employed. Between the diagnosis placed on my daughter, and my own health problems, my family of 3 are paying almost $1500.00 per month for PPO coverage that allows us to select her specialists ourselves. I was told that if my daughter had not been covered under my old employer's policy (insurance portability) when I became self-employed, insurance companies could have refused her coverage and forced us to go to the high risk pool whether we wanted to or not.
