Tammy Urey, Verbena s, and Krista will be speaking about their services for the special needs community. DAUFY is a residential and day habilitation service provider in the Alpharetta area. The service was started in 2004 as a residential provider and recently opened a day habilitation service in downtown Alpharetta. DAUFY supports individuals with developmental disabilities in the community through residential and day habilitation so that they can participate in the community with minimal supports. The September 14th meeting begins at 7:00 p.m. at the Alpharetta Crabapple Government Center, located at 12624 Broadwell Road in Alpharetta at the intersection of Crabapple and Mayfield Roads. Special Note: The Fulton County Human Services Department's Office of Children & Youth has announced the 1st Annual Family 411: Neighborhoods in Action series, a district by district outreach effort to inform, educate and empower communities to get involved in programming for young people. The series of events will include interactive displays by all F.R.E.S.H. (Fulton Roundtable Expanded Services Headquarters) grant service providers. F.R.E.S.H. is a grant program managed in the Human Services Department whose mission is to distribute funds to non-profit agencies serving children and youth in each district of the County. The agencies serve all Fulton County residents and funds are distributed equally among each district the County serves. Your input is desired to let providers and the County know what services are needed by the public. This program is scheduled for next Wednesday, September 20 at the Isakson YMCA on Preston Ridge in Alpharetta. If you are interested in applying for this grant, you must appear at one of these meetings in the coming week. For more information, view their web site at http://www.co.fulton.ga.us/services/services_detail_T27_R127.html Looking forward to seeing you Thursday.
