I don't understand how they can say they want to stop providing a free and

appropriate education to children with special needs. Isn't that in violation

of the law. They may be planning on changing the law. This is very disturbing

but not surprising because it has been obvious that as more children develop

autism the government is doing everything they can to refuse help of any kind.

An example is the attempt to exempt the drug companies from liabilty in the

Homeland Security Bill, the changing of the IDEA to disregard our children's

needs, the cutting off of funds in Texas and other states.

I guess it all goes back to priorities ... and how the money spent

will reward (in votes or other ways) those who have the power to

spend the money ... award the biggest slice of the pie to whoever can

give you the most ... maybe I'm being too cynical?

But I really like the idea of a " call-in-a-thon " to 's office!

Wonder if anybody's ever tried it?
