Guest guest Posted March 24, 2004 Report Share Posted March 24, 2004 My consultant mentioned it as a possible treatment. I've tried Sulfasalazine, MTX and Cyclophosphamide all without much use. Guest guest Posted March 25, 2004 Report Share Posted March 25, 2004 --Hi Steve, I have been on Remicade for almost 1 1/2 yrs along with the mtx. the first 6 months on it were great then I started to have little aches and flares with temps so they uped my mtxs to 20mg every week and moved my remicade to every 4 weeks and i started to do better. Last MAy when they found out I have some issues with my heart they moved me back to getting it every 6 weeks but it didnt hold me so I have been getting it every 5 weeks and Im doing ok. Last few months I have had more aches and not bouncing back like I used to after the infusion(I used to feel great the next day and on) However I have had a lot of stress lately and so Im not doing as well anymore. However this drug still gets me to work every single day and I am in no way like I was before I started this drug. To me its the best I have felt(beside using steriods)I hope this helps. I do know it dosnt work as well without the mtx. I also need to get it infused very slowly and over 3 hours so I wont get the headache from it.
