Venlo.

Re: good news

WOW!!! You brought tears to my eyes!! I am so thrilled for you!! What

enzymes are you using? I see improvements w/o the use of enzymes in my

son

lately (he did wonderful at our church fair today!!) but I want to try

some

that may help develop his speech more. I would appreciate your

response.

Thanks in advance!

I get the carnosine, tyrosine, taurine, vit/minerals etc at Venlo.

The Houston and DMSA I get from the States through " private " means. I have been

told DMSA is illegal here but that is word of mouth. I shall look into this

later when I am finished with the detox because it is a scandal if this is true.

I don't want to jeopardise the therapy yet so I will wait a while.

Best regards,

Dear ,

Yes, I have been in remission 3 times. Each time I was able to

go off Imuran and Prednisone for significant time periods: 1-1/2

years, 2 years, and 7 years. The important thing to remember though,

is that your bloodwork needs to be checked regularly because if your

LFTs start to rise, they will want to begin treatment again. That's

what happened to me this summer. My LFTs were elevated after 7 years

of being in the normal range. So the hepatologist put me on Actigall

and he is watching to see how the liver functions respond. I'm

seeing him in January, and I guess he will then decide whether I will

need the other medications. Good luck to you.

What wonderful news. Hang in there and good luck with the weight loss. Can't help you with the remission question as I haven't been lucky enough to get there but I'm sure others can.

Again, what great news.

Several weeks back someone posted about my friend Dan, azspaz, who had made wonderfiul progress in recovery, then suffered a terrible set back, during the RBC fraud when he was no longer getting the authentic Flanagan Silica Hydride, without his knowledge. They used his suffering and set back in an attempt to perpetuate the RBC fraud and discourage others from using Active H-.

Dan started getting the real stuff again in September, after not having any of Flanagan's Silica Hydride for nearly a year!!! & having suffered terrible damage to his liver. It was a very a tough road back, and I was afraid for awhile we might bury another one of Clinton 's victims.

Anyway, I am posting his latest, for the person who attempted to discredit both Dan & me and Flanagan's Silica Hydride, Active H- by posting a private letter from Dan's wife, expressing private concerns for her husband's life to a freind. So, for Dan, and everyone who was discouraged by the accuser who exploited the RBC fraud, the covert denial of Flanagan's SH which nearly cost my friend his life, here's Dan's post from a couple weeks ago. Write him at azspaz@....

He is back to work and life again, so be patient for his reply.

Peace, Jeanine

I am so happy to have the energy to work again, I'm at 20 hrs. a week for now with benefits and good pay. Not all is perfect, still dealing with joint pain and I'm wiped out after work, but hey! That's wonderful news. I go on Wednesday to see my Hepatologist, so I can talk to you about the drive. I hope my news is as good as yours.

Sleep well.

That is so wonderful! I wish you well!

P.S. your enzymes sure came down fast!

[ ] good news

I got very good news today when I saw my GI doc. I had labs done

Saturday so I would already have the results when I saw him today.

My liver enzymes are almost back to normal after only 2 1/2 weeks on

prednisone. The AST was in the normal range and the ALT was just

above normal. This was down from an AST of 337 and an ALT of 177 on

Jan 11th. My GI was absolutely thrilled with my labs. He said if

my liver enzymes continue to be this good, they may be able to cut

the prednisone down to 10 mg a day in just a few weeks. He said I

would most likely need to be on 10 mg a day for about 2 years.

After that, if my liver enzymes are normal, they usually taper you

off the prednisone and watch you very closely.

My GI said that he thinks it is entirely possible that much of my

RUQ abdominal pain is coming from my liver and not the pancreas/bile

duct. He said it's not common to have a lot of pain with liver

disease but it is definitely possible. He suggested that I hold off

on having the celiac plexus block for the pancreatitis pain because

he thinks once my liver has had a few months on prednisone to allow

the inflammation to settle down my pain may stop.

I weighed this morning (and again this evening) and I am down a

pound since beginning prednisone. I'm down to my lowest weight in

probably 22 years. It appears that at least for now, the prednisone

is not going to make me gain weight.

Hope everyone had as good a day as I had. Of course, I am exhausted

from the two hour drive. I think I will sleep well tonight.

Thanks. According to my GI, that is exactly what they hope - that

after about two weeks on prednisone, the liver enzymes will come

down drastically and you will feel much better than you have been

feeling. Of course, I may be in a false sense of security since

there have been a couple of times that my liver enzymes have been

normal over the last several months - before we knew about the AIH.

However, now that I think about it, I have been on a medrol dose

pack and had at least two cortisone injections in the last several

months. It would be interesting to see if the times my enzymes were

normal correspond with other short term doses of prednisone.

My X-ray yesterday showed a very straight, well-healed back, & even my

untutored eyes could tell that T6 had healed nicely yet my L1 will never be

the same. (Too much bone gone.) My doc will be checking me weekly for any

L1 instability. Things are fine so far on day 2. I feel so free, for I

only have to wear my brace an hour at a time & when I'm driving. In fact, I

just drove my son to his baseball game! But couldn't stay to watch as I can

't sit upright for long. I even get to sleep without this hot brace!!! The

pain is livable. I walked at the beach today, and it felt strange &

wonderful to feel the wind on my torso. I ran into some friends walking

their dogs, & we all cried, hugging, glad that I'm out and about. I'm so

thankful to be walking. Now it's time to drive my daughter to swimming.

Did I mention I'm so happy to be driving? So many friends drove my kids

everywhere for months. It's good to be independent again.

Hey, terry!!! Fantastic that you are still undetectible!

Greg is one week past halfway done! He did a major blood workup today so we will

know next week where he is as far as viral load, wbc and all that. Also asked

that his blood sugar be checked. Never a problem before, but now, he has a sore

on his foot that will not heal. How can you know if a person is drinking or

peeing more than usual when the person is drinking a gallon of water a day?

Smile. anyway, we will see how it goes. Greg has lost 34 pounds since he began

treatment so the doc cut him back to a thousand mg of the pills a day. they had

increased him from eight hundred to 1200 but now backed him off, hoping he will

gain weight back. Along withhis weight, his strength has gone, too. he is

drinking high-protein drinks and eating but the weight and strength are going

away.

i will keep everyone informed.
