He is getting casted as we " speak " . I am anxious to

Penny,

Wow things are moving fast. I think blood draws are worse becasue you knwo that does hurt. Casting is just frustrating - no pain. Just makes them mad! My daughter calmed down as soon as they took the cast off. She was casted 3 times - 2 bands and one exit cast. I hope he had a camera so he could at least show you how cute he looked with left over plaster on his face. give us a report on how it went when they get home.

Penny,

That is so great. Don't worry too much about casting, it goes quickly

and by the time he's in the bath all is forgotten. Definitely post

about what insurance and how much so others can see the info. if

needed. Don't forget about our insurace database either. Soon you'll

have the cutest baby on the block in his little band and the

nieghbors will all be asking where they can get treatment,lol. That

actually does happen, once others see that the band isn't some

horrible thing they start asking questions, so be prepared to educate

them. Again I am so happy for you.

Manon that is awesome!!! Lots of luck for a smooth casting. Well,

your dr. is terrific. Dr. Trovato. She has e-mailed me twice.

After looking at Brielles pictures and reviewing all what other

specialists have said and CT's measurements. She said that we would

not be wrong if we banded or if we didn't band. She noted because we

are doing PT, CST and have seen improvement, to not stress about it

and if we don't want to band everything will be o.k.. Debbie and

manon thats great.. by any chance do you have united healthcare... im tryinhg to appeal.. bc they wont cover our doc band.. bvut dont know where to start... i have looked into the appeals files section and looked at sample letters but they are so indepth and contain detailed inform. about diagnosis... we only have the medical neccesity letter an drx.. no other stuff to include.. need help...

Frances:

I think others might be able to help you better if

they know why you were denied, i.e. not medically

necessary, not covered, cosmetic, etc. From that, they

can probably offer suggestions in crafting your

appeal.

Good news Manon! I'm so glad to hear that! He'll do just fine even

if he is a little older, there are many babies that have gotten a late

Good news Manon! I'm so glad to hear that! He'll do just fine even

if he is a little older, there are many babies that have gotten a late
