So now I will answer her question along with Heidi's question about what our money is spent on. Let me take care of the Credit Card answer first then I will answer the rest of the question. 2-24-03, Flowers were sent through the Internet to a very sick member. Our web site was utilized for this transaction and most of the monies came out of the Flower fund which is presently empty! It is very difficult to keep two separate accounts for these transactions but I have been managing. The total was $37.98 3-26-03, Flowers were sent through the Internet to a very sick member. Again our web site was used for this transaction. The total was $69.98 5-24-03, Flowers were sent through the Internet to a very sick member. Again our web site was used for this transaction. The total was $49.98 9-11-03, A meeting room was rented and refreshments provided by the O'rleans Hotel at a cost of $395.29. Paid for by our Foundation Credit Card. 2 secretary chairs were purchased for a total of $49.00 was paid for by our Foundation Credit Card. This amount was repaid immediately by donation from Bob & Carole Himes in the amount of $50.00 saving tax for office furniture. 11-23-03, A soft laptop case, a case of manila envelopes and a name plaque was purchased with the Foundations Credit Card for the total amount of $57.48. This was repaid immediately by donation from Bob & Carole Himes in the amount of $58.00. Now to answer Heidi's question as to what our money is spent on: A large amount of our money is spent on postage when I mail out the Brochures. Most of the time I just used cash from the petty cash fund as I don't like to write a check for a small amount like the postage would be. Then I also have to pay for the printing of the brochures. Almost all of the office supplies that are used, I pay for myself. We also send Flowers to some of the members who are very ill or really down in the dumps. We would like to start helping people with Medications but we just don't have enough money to do that just yet. Hopefully we will be able to pay for a speaker or two soon. As it is we did have enough last year to rent a room for one day for the Conference which went very well. But by and large our biggest expenditure is postage because we send these Brochures all over the World.
