Why did I write the previous email?

I wrote it as a reflection of MY feelings; my thoughts. Each person has their

own! Each individual has their own experience; their own perspective; their own

values; their own....

The " Friends " group goal is to provide a forum for sharing the good and the bad.

Sometimes the pendulum swings more one direction than the other... and then it

has to swing back the other direction! Sometimes I am uncomfortable with some

of you. Sometimes some of you are uncomfortable with me!

Some people share from their personal life... and veer into explicit sexual

talk.... then other people share their religious views. I don't see any of

these as totally unacceptable. However, when it becomes too uncomfortable, it's

time for people to voice their discomfort and get that pendulum swinging a bit!

(Please recognize that I think there is NEVER a time for " hate " mail... either

on or off the group. If you receive an individual hate mail, please attach it

to an email and send it to me... don't delete it. I can't do anything with a

deleted email.)

**** I have had some beautiful personal email sent to me acknowledging my

disappointment that I will never be the svelte beauty I know I am on the inside

(grin)... Letters like I have received from Jo... that recognize my

feelings... I treasure. ****

Back to posts on the group: When I'm uncomfortable, I don't contribute except

on rare occasions. I know from various emails through the years that this is

the same for many of you! But then... when the pendulum swings back a bit more

into my comfort zone... or when I help initiate the pendulum's swing... then I

post more.

The goal is to be respectful of each other's experience... be it terrific or

painful... be it the same... or vastly different from mine!
