Welcome aboard. We're sometimes a wild and chatty group. I see you are

roughly in my neck of the woods. I'm in Healdsburg. I had surgery in Nov. '02,

I

have lost 124.5 pounds and I'm going to have my tummy tuck, hernia repair on

Feb. 10. I'm so glad you have decided to join us and I hope you enjoy our

group Congratulations on having your DS. Please feel free to ask questions,

jump right in and join the fun! Do you mind sharing your weight loss, so far?

I have just been invited to join this group.

I had my surgery in Sept.3,'03 with Dr.K.

I go to Dr. K. support group meeting in Ukiah.

I also go to two other support group meetings.

One is Dr. Rapkin's in Napa. This was the first

meeting I went to in Jan. '03. A few months ago

I found a WLS group meeting in Lakeport. One

of the best things at these meetings are the people,

& the honesty. There are no politics, like you would

find in the work place. Just a group of wonderful

caring people who want to get & stay healthy.

I'm hoping to be under 200 lbs. before I turn 61

in March. I have been married 42 yrs. to the

same man. And they said it would never last.

I'm hoping my son will soon be able to have

this surgery. He needs it so bad. He can hardly

walk.
