Guest guest Posted February 4, 2004 Report Posted February 4, 2004 from WA is home safe and sound...recovery is going well...but (don't cha just hate BUTS!) she has caught a touch of the flu....achy, fever...she did touch base with Dee about it. Making sure it wasn't an infection or connected to the frankenboobie repair. I'm betting she caught a bug during her flight home. Ok from here on get your bottom back on list and let us know how your doing!! It sure was nice getting to see You again...and I wanted to tell you...your just getting prettier everytime I see you! Tom must be doing something right. I talked to Woodlake tonight...I was on the cell phone and there was alot of " noise " during the connection. What I could make out was.....they are going to do a barium swallow on her and see how the stomach is healing/or not healing. There was something that Dr. Z thought was a very good sign and made him happy???? Couldn't Catch what it was.....She is expecting to still be in the hospital at the time of the next support meeting and plans to come. She is feeling better with the exception of Breathing. Her diaphram is acting weird and only one side expands at a time...switching sides with each breath. ????don't know what that's about, but her breathing was a bit labored. Last....right now her biggest fear is needing another invasive procedure. That scares her....I certainly can understand that!!! I asked her if there was anything someone could bring her to make her stay easier...books, magazines, puzzles, deck of cards......she said her mom was keeping her supplied with " keep busy " stuff. She then said a BLT sandwich would be nice...I said " sure just get Dr. Z to say OK and I'll be right down there with one " She said she didn't think he would give permission...so I told her I could bring a BLT and eat it in front of her...you know anything for a friend!!! She said " NO THANK YOU! " Well I tried.... Lets hope she gets good news when they get around to doing the Barium swallow. Oh and Cindee....Jody told her you were back in the hospital so asked about you. Jo Quote
