Guest guest
Jo thanks so much for the update. I have followed Joe's saga from the very beginning of my first peek in to Weight Loss Surgery. I think I have said more prayers for him than anyone and I am not about to give up now. I am glad he is in the hands of Dr. K and God. I look forward to hearing positive updates. in WA
Guest guest
I just talked to Joe. He is back in Delano Hospital. He is scheduled for surgery tomorrow (Wed. 18th) The last time Joe was here Dr. K revised his small bowel, basically doubling his ability to absorb...sadly it wasn't enough and tomorrow Dr. K is going to completely revise the small bowel giving Joe every cm of absorption that he can. Joe's protein levels are severly low, he's had fainting episodes and he is down to 115 pounds (at 170 he was THIN). They have been pumping him full of albuim units and Blood trying to prepare his body for surgery. Joe says...Dr. K is optimistic. I asked Joe " what do we do if this revision does not do the trick? " Joe said " then I bend over and kiss my ass goodbye " Which Joy didn't care too much for... Ok guys...I'm asking again....Send all the prayers, healing energy, positive thoughts that you can muster. Not only that Joe makes it through surgery without a hitch, but that the surgery does the trick and finally sends Joe to healthier days. Joe and Joy knows I'm posting and they wanted me to tell you that at the moment they don't have a computer...so they will neither be able to read any messages to them or send any answers. I promise to try to keep you updated until they can do so for themselves. Joe promises to update himself as soon as he feels well enough and has a computer. Guest guest
> Has Joe lost too much weight? Is that the problem? Can someone fill me in? > > Thanks > Kristy ======================== Yes, Joe has lost too much weight. He isn't absorbing enough and has been fighting protein malnutrition for a couple years now. Last year Dr. K did a unique to Joe only semi-revision. It didn't work and Now Dr. K is doing as close to a complete intestinal revision as he can Jo
