Guest guest
Hi Everyone, This morning I did Keli 30 Min to Fitnesss Breakthrough Lower Body & Core. It was a virgin workout from a trade several months ago. Definately liked it! Some new twists on standard exercises. After a good warm-up which will get your HR up (Keli is even breathing heavy) you go through a circuit of three exercises - lower body with weights, lower body with medicine ball, core (mostly w/ med ball). You do this several times (I forget how many different exercise sets there are - maybe 4). It has a "functional" twist as you are often doing rotational movements with the lower body exercises and the core/ab work is also more focused on planks, rotational movements, etc. I went a bit light - 5 lbs for weightgs and 6 lb ball. Next time I will up the weights to the 8-10 range. I don't have a heavier ball though. Generally Keli does 16 reps of each exercise. The set is a little busy, but the music is pretty good. And, I felt that Keli gave good form pointers and was a good instructor for this workout. I have the upper body version to try out later this week as well as Abs, Spine & Posture (which is part of this series), and the foam roller stretch workout she did. After Keli, I wanted to do some cardio, but I didn't feel like doing the TM or . I still wanted something lower impact - then, I remembered that in Turbo Jam there are always low impact modifiers. Since I'm cautiously reintroducing kickboixng I went with the 20 min version - worked out just fine! Tomorrow I have one of Ellen's Strength workouts and ASAP on the schedule. Although I honestly feel I need more cardio. Eating has not been good today. Although, yesterday was not a bad day for a Saturday and neither was Friday. Maybe I'll just do a quick mile on the TM tomorrow morning before Ellen's workout to sort of ease my guilt. I really would like this 3 lbs of holiday fat gone. It is the food, though, not the exercise that needs to change. I *should* do my push-up circuit right now....maybe I will. That gets me an extra mile on the TM when I use it for the rest breaks. Although, I have had a mild sinus headache going for a couple of days now. Been using the neti pot, and trying to get more moisture in the air - according to our themostat, our humidity levels are pretty low - 30% - and that is with 3 humidifiers going. I am normally bothered by humidity - I think it is a mold issue - but it seems the dryness now is a problem. Although, come to think of it - with the snow melt, I wonder if the molding/rotting leaves are my trouble? Take care!Donna
