Guest guest
We were going to move down south last year. I let OFY know so they could give our spot to another student. They told me about their sister school in San Diego County but I can't think of the name. I'll have to ask them when the time comes. I'm sure it will be easy to transfer his records. I think the commute would be too long. I'll keep our doc here since we only go every 4 months or so.If the program sounds good to you you could probably call them and ask for the names of the campuses in SD. -Son B 15,ASP 10th grd. Starting a charter school in Jan. Today my little boy (6yrs) who has aspergers was suspended from school. Apparently yesterday at lunch recess he pulled his pants down acting silly and fondled himself in front of everybody. He's never done this before. I don't like how the school handled it. They waited until this morning when we arrived to class and told us to go to the office. The principal (female) proceeded to tell me what happened and that several parents called. Then she asked my son - serveral times - if he does that at home.????? wth? She said she doesn't think it's sexual - I laughed and said well no I don't think it would be at 6 years old. She kept trying to figure out why he would do something like that. I think he was doing to get a good laugh or someone asked him to do it. Either way it's not appropriate - I know. But we are sad today. Should I be glad that this time it wasn't because he hit someone? I'm trying to find some humor in this. We're in the middle of IEP meetings. It's just so hard to send him to school when he doesn't have any support or tools yet to be successful. Guest guest
Sorry this took a few days to come through - put it in the SPAM file, which I can only check online. I have no idea why it does this. I try to check the group online a couple of times a week, but sometimes I don't have time. If anyone sends in a post that doesn't appear within 24 hours, let me know and I can go and check what has done with it.
