Hello this is Barbara I am writing to ask the instructors if they know of any

videos that would be helpful to my instructors. We have a new teacher this

month and he has mentioned that he is looking for some Videos on the Ethics

and the laws in Pharmacy.

If anyone has any links to help us out we would greatly appreciate it

Thanks Again

Dear Babs,

I would say that this is a question for the membersof my other site

which is for Pharmacy Technician Educators. While there are many here

who may have some ideas as well to help, I think your instructor

should become a member of my group called

Rx Tech Edcuators Advisory Group

this is a place JUST for the instructors to ask each other such

questions and to help each other from across the nation. he site is

in its infancy, but it is going strong with lots of information and

sharing of resources.

RxTechEdcuatorsAdvisoryGroup

The group is for formal classroom educators of a pharmacy technician

program.

Please forward this information to your instructor, or send me a

private email with his/her name and email address and I will send

him/her a personal invite to the group.

Thank you,

Respectfully,

I know that my daughter LOVES the Wiggles. There is music, bright colors and

repetition which she can't get enough of. She also loved the videos that you

mention your daughter likes so try the Wiggles.

HI my name is Dianne and I have a grandson that was diagnosed with apraxia

about 5 months ago. He is in speech therapy 2 times a week. He also has

social issues. He had a brain scan this past week and found out that he has

atrophy of the brain on the right and left sides. He has progressed since the

therapy started and seems to need more than the average attention of his

parents. They also have a 7 month old. I am desperate to have someone tell me

about this and also is there anything else we can do to help this child. He

is extremely smart, but his developmental skills are slow. He lives in

Georgia and I in Kansas so I do not get to see him but every couple of

months. Is there a support group in Georgia?

My 3 year old son loves the baby bumblebee videos and picked up lots

of words from them. We started with the action word videos because

he already knew most of the words from the vocabulary builder set.

Then we bought the math series and the color video and finally just

got the opposites one.

What amazed me and his former EI therapist is how he not only learned

how to say the word, but very quickly used the words properly on his

own. His therapist and I had been working to teach him his colors

for about six months with no success or progress really... 2 weeks

after he got the color video he suddenly knew all ten colors in the

video - his therapist had joked that the videos would put her out of

a job!

My son can say more single words than I can count, and now regularly

puts together 2 word phrases, so I'm not sure if your daughter is too

advanced for them, but I would try the new opposites one and see.

Hope that helps

Carole

,

You should have received Bear Video, Abizoom, Bubbles.

I can't really post them anywhere for those who are subscribers to my protocols, since I don't have a place which is limited to that group. If you haven't received those 3, let me know, and I'll try to resend them. For those of you with free email services that can't handle attachments up to 5 meg, find a friend who can accept them. Or just spring for the $40 to get the CD with all 85 of the videos.

Didn’t finish that …

I was going to say, although this didn’t

work for a friend’s child who wasn’t interested, one of the best

things we’ve ever done for Tom was to buy him Babybumblebee videos. The testimonials

say that kids start talking straight away, this didn’t happen but it

really expanded his receptive vocabulary and suddenly he was interested in

things like dogs which he’d never noticed before.

Hello

all, just in case this is relevant to anyone ….

I have recently bought Tom some videos which have been really

helpful, they’re for babies (Tom’s 3 and 3 months) and are just at

his level of development – they are ‘sing and sign’ and

‘baby bright’ – both have two videos and both have taught him

loads! Both teach some concepts that his ABA course hasn’t covered yet

like ‘where’s it gone?’ ‘hiding’ ‘lots and

lots of …’ ‘another..’ etc and he learnt them all

immediately cos he enjoyed the videos so much. Incidentally, although this

didn’t work for a friend

Hi Mandi,

I bought the sing and sign here:

www.singandsign.com

and got the baby bright on Amazon. The sing

and sign are British sign language/makaton and are real people. the baby bright

are some real babies/ some computer generated (also British) – but I have to

say that Tom does LOVE television.

Hi Myra - on Amazon, I picked the baby bright ones up second hand and they

were a few quid. Otherwise they're about £13.99 or something like that, the

sing and sign are about the same price. Have just sent the website address

for them (although they might be on Amazon too) Sara

Hi Jill,

That's great! I started out with Jane Fonda then moved on to the Firm Classics, now I have three of Cathe's workouts, all the WHFN KickButts and FitPrimes, and now the Get Ripped workouts. I also have one of Kathy 's step workouts that I really like. I also have a few yoga workouts, The Method with Kries, she's so flexible it's amazing, a series of Lilias workouts from off the tv, and a couple of Giaim yoga tapes. It seems once you start you can't seem to stop collecting. It's like a sickness....I keep telling DH that I have to get more so that my body doesn't get used to using one type of workout. So far he's swallowed that, at least he didn't complain when I got him to stop at Fitness Plus in Calgary to pick up Jari's workouts. LOL!

hi jill, cathe's site, her dvds are a little pricey but they are worth it. just watch out on ebay b/c many have been selling boot leg dvd-r which are low quality and probably won't contain all the good stuff that cathe offers on her dvds like mix and match and the premixes. cathe is an advanced instructor but she does have some beginner/intermediate videos. i would suggest checking out her site http://www.cathe.com before bidding on ebay. the $45 workout have 2 full workouts plus up to 7 premixes for each workout. plus the chapters and mix and match options make it easier to piece together the segment that you want to do and skip the rest. her $27 dvds have only one workout on them but they do come with all the same options. and anything before the intensity series does not have premixes but they do offer the mix and match chapter options. kassiaJill *

Collage has the Jane Fonda workouts on DVDs. There's two workouts from the 80s on one DVD, and two from the early 90s on the other. I have one of the 80s videos and still do it occasionally, nice basic workout. AnneJill wrote:i was at goodwill and see some jane fonda's vhs, but id rather have the dvd's, so i didnt get them.

I was thinking I'd like a stretching (full body) DVD, but DH asked me if I really needed "all" the workouts. LOL! that's the bad/good thing about belonging to these lists, you find out about all these workouts that you'd like to have.

eBay is a good place to find new workouts. I got my Cathe's from there.
