wish you could ignore that phoeey scale.

I got all in a hissy because I weighed myself on my parents scale while I

I had such a bad night last night. I hate to admit what a baby I was. But

I started to Taebo very late last night. (I was watching the Audrey Hepburn

I know a lot of this is me forgetting to take my anti-depressants and me

Hi !! I'm sorry you had such an awful day. I have the same problem

when it comes to the scale and looking in the mirror. I know the scale

shouldn't matter but I can't get all the way past that yet. And sometimes I

look in the mirror and say you look great, othertimes I see fat and ugly.

It's a battle we all must fight I guess. I'm glad you are having a better day

today. Hang in there, and don't forget you are beautiful !! (I've seen your

,

I've been following the thread of your original Yee Gads! post with

interest but have avoided posting a long response (to any post) because

my puter has been responding slowly when on e-groups, and I have have

had ooodles of posts to read...can't seem to catch up.

However, I can't help myself...I'm taking a break in my arduous reading

here to respond to this:

, you've got a hot body...boobs included. C-cups are not

crippling. In fact, I miss my C-cup boobs (no, I'm not grieving over

them...just wouldn't mind having a little more there...though I'm happy

with what I've got!)

Take a look at the big picture, girlfriend: You've accomplished a lot

in all areas of your life. You're getting married. Things are

buzzing. Stop to enjoy all of this. 143 is great! (I'm there, and I

love it!) You've got enough on your plate without burdening yourself

with all this self-critical cr*p regarding your weight. It's a

number...that's all. Look at your pictures: you look fantastic!

You're strong and fit and beautiful! Now, go to the mirror and tell

yourself that...go ahead...do it!

hugs,

Thank you Barb. I think I'm trying to motivate myself to get off my butt and be

more pro-active about my goals. When I thought politics was the end all be all

I did a lot and went far. I need to be able to do that with acting. I would

love to be in a community theatre and am actually apartment hunting in

Woodbridge,VA trying to get one near the theatre there in hopes that I can get a

spot (unpaid of course). For me personally, being in the spotlight is not about

being admired, if I get there great, if not...ok. But I do have a few messages

that I want to get out and I would love to use any " fame " to that advantage.

I really think most of this (besides the dperession related self-criticisms) is

coming from not being in band anymore after 16 years of living band. I miss

performing.

I do of course have the normal anxieties about geting married, but have already

informed my fiance that if I do anything in politics or acting be warned because

I might no be using his name, even though I will use his name in private and

personal life.

Yeah ! I'm so glad!!! Just don't procrastinate like I know I would lol.

Maybe you can use this time o do a little prep work like aking a hike with a

weighted backpack. Not only will the variety in exercise help you, but it will

definitly be good training!!!!

YEAH!!!!! I bet that percentage will drop soon.

I'm glad you stopped your workout last night....you're right your

workout is supposed to make you feel better, not worse. I know it's

hard when we're watching ourselves not to focus on all that is wrong

with us, but that totally defeats the purpose. You have to focus on

how far you have come. Remember those days when you couldn't do one

set of roundhouse kicks and now you can do them all? Remember when you

couldn't keep your balance for 5 seconds and now you can hold it for

the whole time is talking? Remember how you used to just barely

get through the tapes and now you punch and kick harder and you have

more endurance? Remember when you couldn't even begin to see you ab

muscles and now when you look at them you can see the definition? Ok,

you get my point! It's not about being angry with yourself for how you

look (or how you perceive yourself to look)...it's about how strong and

confident you are and how much spirit you have (remember 's

words?). So, try not to get discouraged and if looking in the mirror

does that...than don't use the mirror anymore :) I know you know all

of this already, but I just thought hearing it might help you remember

it :)

who hopes is having a better day today and that she remembers

to love herself :)

You have a lot of good tips (like the one about keeping a list of all

treadmilling and lifting weights at intervals after a basic tape). I

wanted to reply to your messages yesterday but I felt funny calling you

I'm so glad you were able to postpone your entry date. That gives you

plenty of time to take the weight off sensibly and you don't have to

stress out so much about losing your weight in a month or two. Just

keep doing what you are doing and I'm sure you will see positive

results....you are doing such a great job and this extra time will

allow you to reach your goals healthily :)

was. But I started to Taebo very late last night. (I was watching the

Audrey Hepburn movie)Well I tired bringing a full lenght mirror in to

help me with my form and I got very depressed with the way I looked.

Whn I was punching it felt like I was angry and punching myself. I

stopped after 20 minutes even though I hadn't done the workout befroe

because I don't working out to be about beating myself up and I was

already really upset at that point.

Thank you , I know I dont havre to have it all figured out. In fact, I

think life is too short to do just one ting. IMO. But I do want to act and I

want to do it while I'm young. So I need to get my butt in gear. I'll be ok.

I know Elena is going to force me to try out for the different theatres in

Virginia. I have her watching my back lol.

I know which song you are talking about. Is that a Fulghum Poem? IT

sounds like his writing.
