Welcome to the group!! No, you don't have to respond to any emails if you

don't want to. Of course, WE would love it if you did. If something

catches your eye and you have an opinion or strong feelings about it share

your views with us... you'll get the hang of it. You'll also love it here!!

I'll tell you a little secret... I love it here more when I participate. :)

last time, I never said anything to the group...therefore, no one bothered

to

say anything to me most likely since they didn't know I existed! I did that

in my school years up until my senior year and thats when I started losing

weight, so I felt more confident in raising my hand and participating in

I'm telling you about this because that was a pattern in my life. I would

" join " things, but not fully participate. It wasn't until I started building

confidence that I went out of the house more often and started voicing my

opinions instead of playing follow the leader. So if you were like me or ARE

like that, try to come out of lurking and at least introduce yourself to

this

list. Maybe someone else will relate to you or maybe you'll make new

friends.

BUT please think about whether you decide to put this list as " reading only

on the web " if you're only a lurker who's using this as a main source for

motivation. As I said earlier, I did that before. I never said anything and

eventually I set my options as " read messages only via the web " and ended up

losing my motivation to proceed with Tae-bo. I rarely went onto egroups so I

was never reminded to check the messages. Having Tae-bo messages enter my

mailbox was a reminder to do Tae-bo so hopefully now that I'm actually

speaking to people, I'll have a bigger reason to stay on track.

Okay, thats all I wanted to add :-)

Hi!

Welcome to the group! You can reply to the messages you want to reply

to....you don't have to reply to every single one, but if something

interests you than don't hesitate to jump right in and give your

opinion :)

To start, could you tell us a little bit about yourself? What's your

name? How long have you been doing tae-bo? What kind of results do

you hope to see?

It's nice to get to know each other a little bit....especially when

somebody is new to the group! Also, we have a website at

http://taeboon.isportsdot.com and we all have our introductions there

and pictures from the tapings. Check it out!

A sensitive, caring, intelligent, articulate MAN in our midst? The Gods are smiling on us today, ladies!!!!!!

Welcome to the fray, . I really enjoyed reading your posts, and hope you continue to participate in our discussions. I know you'll find a lot of love, support and friendly kicks in the "bumper" just when you need it the most. My husband has described my time online here as a big pajama party (I just won't tell him about you and Simon!).

BTW, did you notice that there is a quirk of the egroups system that truncates email addresses in your posts (to protect us from spammers we're told). This quirk changes your email address to "chained2fat" and now that you've found Tae-bo and your list "sisters" here, that's no longer true!

LV, who agrees with 's statements about lurking vs. posting!

posting a message and then getting to read all these great responses to it. It

makes me feel so noticed and special.

But of course, no one can respond to all posts. You said it best --

just respond to those that call out to you.

My name is . I've been doing Taebo for a year and a half. Initially only

wanted to lose about 20 lbs. Never was really overweight (5 ft 4 and 135

lbs) but that was the biggest that I had been in a while, and was getting

into a habit of unhealthy eating and no exercise. I bought the original 4

pk. and changed the way I ate. I lost 39 lbs in about 3 months and reshaped

my body entirely. That was over a year ago, and the weight and still off. I

know people talk about the 21 dc, but I have done Taebo consistently for over

16 months. I do occasionally change my form of exercise to give my muscles a

" new " challenge. I do step aerobics at least once a week, I have a

treadmill which I love, and I lift free weights 3 times a week. Exercise has

become so much a part of my life that when I travel my VCR and tapes go with

me . By the way I have 4 kids and teach school and I ALWAYS find the time to

fit in my workout! Making time for yourself makes me a better mother and

wife!! Well, that's some of my story. if anyone needs advice about what

tapes to purchase, I have ALL of them. Advanced 1-6 , Basic 1-6, Taebo for

kids, and I have all the Pay per view workouts.

Welcome ! Wow 39 pounds in 3 months is an amazing weightloss.

Congratulations on that and on maintaining your healthy lifestyle. I

look forward to hearing from you some more. Where do you live? What

do you teach? (I'm a school social worker in new orleans.)

Welcome ! You are so right. To be a better person, we do need to

make time for ourselves. I'm a firm believer in that thinking.

I'm thrilled that another member has such a huge collection of Tae Bo

tapes. There's a couple of us (maybe more) who have all the basic and

advance tapes. I also have the new 4-pack and Tae Bo Gold, but I don't

have the kid's tape. Unfortunately, I don't get Tae Bo TV. That

really bums me out.

I love hearing other reviews and opinions on the different tapes, so

please give us your reviews. :)

Can you give me your assessment on Tae Bo TV #5? says that

it's a great workout for your upper body.

Welcome, . Did I read your message correctly? Did you say that you

lost 39 pounds and are now 97 pounds or are you saying that you NOW

weigh 135 pounds? I hope the latter is correct. Either way, I am glad

you have joined us. You are a real inspiration to all of us to keep up

the hard work.
