Yes it is for weight loss or increased energy. Ever heard of Metabloife? It

contains this crap!

I have a friend who is taking a pill now dont know if its in it or not but

she has said that she loves it that it gives her so much energy....I dont

know if its in it or not but I will be asking.

Ephendra is also known as Ma Haung. Have her check the label. If it is an

herbal fat burner or something like that, chances are it contains it.

Hi , I read that article last night. The funny thing is that my

girlfriend has been taking Megalift (supposed to be like metabolife) and was

trying to talk me into taking it because it burns the fat and makes you lose

weight. Well of course I was skeptical anyway and probably wouldn't have done

it, but after I read that article, definetly not !! From what I gathered this

Megalift would have the same ingredients in it that they were talking about.

Do you agree? If so I better talk her out of taking it too !!

I took these supposed fat burner pills that I got at GNC that had this Ma

Huang in it. Ohh god it was awful. I thought I was having a heart attack or

something!! I was scared to death! My heart started racing, and I was

having problems breathing. So, I stopped taking the pills. Not long after I

stopped I read an article in Shape or one of those magazines that said how

dangerous this stuff was and the side effects. They listed exactly what I

was experiencing...I was thankful I stopped when I did!!!

Does anyone know if it is herbalife? A few of my friends are taking that and

swear by it saying it doesn't have that kind of chemical in it, but I am

skeptical. Any answers?

This is what happens when healing herbs are misused or abused. I hate to see

ephedra marketed as a wieght-loss drug. It is beneficial for people who have

athsma or mucous in their lungs, like I sometimes get. It works like

primatine. In fact primatine is made from ephedra, but ephedra is usually

less stressful on the body in it's natural form. I use it once or twice

every month or so at a low dosage when I can't breathe normally, but I

certainly wouldn't use it every day or with caffeine. It is probably the

mixture of ephedra and other stimulants in wieght-loss pills and such, as

well as overdose that cause the hallucinations. I would urge anyone using it

regularly for any reason to carefully check the other ingredients in the

ephedra product and other possible stimulants in your diet. Any signs of

irritability, elevated non-excersising heartrate, or especially

hallucinations would be an indication to immediately stop using it.

That's a bad combination. I looked into buying it since so many people were

making a big deal about it. I decided if it didn't have those 2 ingredients

or caffeine in it I would try some. Well, I didn't get any because it has

those ingredients.

I took herbalife back in my early twenties and I'm almost positive that

the green pills (thermogenics...I think) have ma huang and guarana in

them. I never had any negative side effects from them and they

definitely give you energy and curb your appetite.

Ugh! I hate the FDA. They are the ones who don't let manufacturers properly

label their products. if the munufacturers were allowed to put what to use

the product for and how to use it safely these things would be less harmful.
