Guest guest
Yes, it is. I lost 80 lbs. then plateaued forever. I'm using BFL to get in shape, tighten up the excess skin (I pray it does anyway), tone and shape my body. Actually, I'm leaning more and more towards bodybuilding. <G> Please turn off your rich text formatting or html or whatever it is that your email program is doing, its almost unreadable for those of us using plain text (its also safer). Guest guest
Naomi, Luckily, I do not have tons of excess skin!! I do need to tone up significantly and still have about 50 pounds to goal. The surgery was THE BEST thing I ever did for myself - except for this now - BFL!! Just starting - long road ahead, but I'm ready to journey on it!! Guest guest
Hi Tina! Same here - I do feel I have plateaued - been at this weight (gaining one or two here and there) for 2 years now. I do not feel I have too much excess skin as others I know. I lost 121 pounds, definitely need to tone and shape my body - and ready my goal of 140 - with a lean healthy body. Good for you going towards the bodybuilding!! Don't know yet if that is for me - I totally enjoy my workouts with my trainer and the motivation - who knows where it will take me. Right now my goal is to look good and feel good. Maybe hitting a midlife crisis - turning 40 in September!! Uh Oh!! Good to know there are others like me who had the surgery. I have seen many fail and I don't want that to happen. Good Luck! Cheryl

Yup, been stuck at 180 myself for the past year and a half. I know I wasn't overeating and stretching my stomach back out, I was just eating crap and not doing a lick of exercise. I don't have huge amounts of excess skin anymore, since I had my abdominoplasty, but I do have flappy arms and thighs that I definitely need to get rid of. >Good for you going towards the bodybuilding!! Maybe hitting a midlife crisis - turning 40 in September!! Uh Oh!! My husband thinks some alien has replaced me with some sort of pod person, as I've become totally obsessed with weight training. I'm still doing the cardio, but if I had my druthers, I'd be in the gym every day lifting weights. LOL >Good to know there are others like me who had the surgery. Guest guest
Loose skin is really a problem. When my mom was alive she went from ~260 to 125 lbs. and had major drooping skin. Her answer was to stuff it all into spandex. Just loosing 40 lbs. I have some on my back just about waist line. Mine isn't enough to justify anything but I've always wondered if they do surgery for such things and whether the price is right. one of the very few downsides of huge success. Kit Yes, they do surgeries to tighten up the skin and remove the excess. I'm sure a can tell you more about it, but that's why I had my abdominoplasty and breast lifts. Total cost was ~$16,000 for both surgeries (cheaper when you have them both done at the same time), including surgeon's fee, which luckily my insurance paid for. They usually won't, but both my PCP and surgeon told them it was medically necessary. Tina
