-I hope Brennan isn't having an allergic reaction. UGH! Keep us

posted.

ph is going to the Urologist at Duke on the 23rd (can't remember if I

told you guys or not that the office got in touch with me before we left

Friday) Here is what J has..

" The urodynamics study showed the presence of a high pressure bladder as

well as the presence of detrusor sphincter dyssynergy which represents the

fact that he is not using his sphincter adequately with each voiding

episode. Instead of him allowing his sphincter to relax with bladder

emptying, he is tightening his sphincter. Therefore, he needs to go in to an

active program of relaxation of his sphincter. " The report from the

uroflow has, " mildly trabeculated bladder. Bladder neck closed at rest.

Resting Pura 4cm/H20. Delayed sensation. First sensation at 150ml volume.

Voided voluntarily with extreme urgency. Elevated detrusor pressure, Pura 85

cm/H20 during voiding. Increased EMG activity during voiding. No reflux,

scant PVR. "

Who knows-- I'm at the end of my rope. I was trying to wait until the 23rd

to see the urologist, but he started complaining again this afternoon of

pain, so we have an 8:45 am appointment with the pediatrician. It could be

associated with his problems b/c I read in the textbook I got that when the

problem continues, the muscle thickens and causes pain.

Pattie,

I dont know the boys situation, but am curious.........now, which one

were you talking about in the last week or so that needed a fourth uro

opinion? and do you know exactly what he has? and is the one who has

been having problems lately the same son? I know I am turned around

here........but I am still trying to remember everyones kids and their

problems.

I was wondering if the boys have ever been tested for interstitial

cystitis? some people think that only occurs in females, but thats not

true......and some people think its only an adult disease, also not

true.
