Guest guest
Might I leap in at this point and suggest that it *might* be a rather long thread. I kinda suspect that what the originator had in mind was to know where the request comes from at the time of the request. Coz, as sure as the Lord make little taties, we'll not remember all these when a request comes in. . (UK) ________________________________ From: gregark Subject: Where are you at? Guest guest
You're absolutely right, . By the time we need this information, likely we won't remember it. Better to teach everyone to state location in the subject line when it's appropriate. On a more global basis, however, isn't there a way to establish a member database on the listhome site at ? Then, whenever you wanted location information, you could just search by user name. Brilliant, right?! I'd offer, but, alas, I really don't know how. Guest guest
has a map facility you can insert, but 4k+ little flags might sink the land-masses into the oceans. The membership list *has* the ability to enter your location, but a lot don't bother e.g. " About Me Rosie hasn't entered any details yet. " I still reckon, as you suggest, Subject line just needs f'rinstance " SCOBY wanted TX area " . Then the likes of me (UK) knows I needn't offer, any one in TX can say " I'm in Houston, anywhere near you " or whatever. :¬)) . Guest guest
Hi Zoe, Thanks, I didn't realize that it was full.....the free version only allows so many entries. I will look into what the paid version does and how much it costs. Does anyone know of a free map service that allows unlimited entries? There are over 4,000 members of this list now! Guest guest
I would think that there should be an open source solution interfacing with google maps. I'll keep a look out. - Jeff On Sat, Mar 28, 2009 at 12:03 PM, yoganandaom <OM@...> wrote: > Hi Zoe, > > Thanks, I didn't realize that it was full.....the free version only allows > so many entries. > > I will look into what the paid version does and how much it costs. > > Does anyone know of a free map service that allows unlimited entries?
