Sorry, never heard anything about kt and molasses, but I do know raw milk is

good for osteoporosis, because the enzyme phosphatase is killed in

pasteurization. Phosphatase enables you to use the calcium in the milk. They

actually use a " negative phosphatase " test to make sure the pasteurization

proccess is done properly. Look in the FAQ on www.organicpastures.com (not our

website)

Sorry, not trying to sell our product, just spreading the good news. :-)

Kombucha & Molasses for Osteoporosis

I read somewhere recently that some concoction of kombucha & molasses

was a helpful tonic to combat osteoporosis, but I don't remember where

I read it. Have any of you had experience with or heard of it?

Yes, I have it here but can't remember where I got it...

This formula is for balancing the acid/alkaline ratio in the body. It

also supplies Iron and Potassium. It is vital for those with

osteoporosis, arthritis, and many other debilitating diseases.

PH Balance Formula - Kombucha Tea and Molasses

- One cup well-aged kombucha tea (8 - 14+ days)

- One cup organic blackstrap molasses

Mix together in blender and store in glass jar (does not need to be

refrigerated). Average adult dose: 2 to 4 tbsp. daily.

That's it!! Thank you!!

I tried flavoring my KT with a TBS or so of molasses & leaving it out

for about a day and a half, and it's DELICIOUS! I'm looking forward

to having some daily!

Rodrick - thanks for the tip about the raw milk. I've been drinking

kefir made with raw cow's milk and raw milk cheese curds. I do love

the taste of cows' milk, but my body can't handle the sugar when I

drink it straight. Hopefully as my body cleanses, I will become more

tolerant of it.

I was dxd w/osteoporosis/osteopenia when I was 30, and am convinced

that I can improve my condition without pharmaceuticals. This is one

of the most exciting possibilities yet! Thanks again!

I've also heard of dissolving egg shells in vinegar (or kombucha?) and

taking this for the calcium, but not sure if it works or if this is

even available, in this form, to be used by our bodies.

Does anyone know?

Okay, so kombucha flavored with a little molases is delcious. Equal

parts kombucha and molasses is...well, nasty. Must be what castor oil

tastes like. I'm washing the tonic down with the yummy mixture.

i know wikipedia is the reader's digest of the internet, but thought you might

like this article on blackstrap. i particularly liked the suggestion near the

end that it can be mixed with sand to morter bricks!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Molasses

if you want the health benefits without the nasty (to many) taste, try grade B

maple syrup. it has many of the same nutrients and benefits and tastes much

better!

That definitely sounds tastier, but does it have the same effect on

bones? (She asks hopefully...)

I take a spoonful of blackstrap molasses each morning in my coffee.

Doesn't taste half bad.

i have no idea about that. i would compare the nutrients of the two. there is

lots of info about the benefits of maple syrup on the master cleanse/lemonade

diet sites. i am not advocating the cleanse, just the info about benefits of

maple syrup.

For awhile I was putting a TBS of real unsweetened cocoa mixed with a

TBS of real maple syrup in my morning coffee, as it was purported to

balance hormones. I stopped doing it b/c I'm super sensitive to

sugar, and the syrup was just too much, but my dh still drinks it b/c

he enjoys it. I can't say whether or not it works, but it came from

the book " Chronobiotic Nutrition " , which I came to in a round-about

way.

Keep in mind the content description of the reference you cited makes no

distinction between the different grades of maple syrup. Dark amber grade B has

the most minerals.
