I have a question regarding the normal range for testosterone in a 40 y.o. male. I recently had my testoterone levels checked and the test called 'testosterone' was a value of 4.3 and the test called 'testosterone free' was 10.28. My doc said they were low but not below the reference range. the ones I found were testosterone total 270-1070 ng/dl and testosterone, free 15.0-40.0 pg/ml. Seems to me that a free reading of 10.28 is below the normal range and I think that 4.3 might be. I don't know if the 4.3 would really be 430 in the ng/dl units. I just want some feedback so I can go back to my doc and say, " HEY! look here you! " JK Thanks for all your help. Dave
