OT: Gratitude and Arden is Home

So happy to update everyone that Arden was discharged Tuesday afternoon after

healing up from his pneumonia and surgery. It has been such a long haul- since

Dec. 28th the second time he was hospitalized- and Ted and I have been so

thankful for everyone's support.

Arden and I are working on re-establish our bfing relationship (going good) and

it's awesome to be holding him without him being corded up to machines. He's

smiling more and is totally wide-eyed in amazement every time we take him into a

" new " room. If there is any benefit to having a baby spend half his life at a

hospital, it is that after all the beeps and machines, he can now sleep through

anything! Hope it lasts, because mama has lots of zzzz's to catch up on.

We're awaiting Nils' first surgery on Feb. 16th and he'll need to be in the

hospital about five days afterwards. It will be at Gillette Children's in SP. It

will be a huge relief to be on the other side in a few weeks.

We're learning a ton about ourselves and our community through this experience.

Thank you for nourishing our stomachs and our hearts with kind words, yummy

food, and watching Nils and Rowan.
