It's a very limited degree that I'm willing to act to the expectations of others. I realize that I guard myself when I'm in public, and I realize that I appear to be sending a " back off " message, but I'm not. That's not my intent. I carry myself in the way that comes naturally to me. I interact in the way that comes naturally to me. I'm not willing to play a part for the comfort of others, not even if it means they might better accept me, because my few true friends stuck around even though I appeared closed. I reach out in my own way, so if others judge it, they won't make good friends for me anyway. sara mother anarchy http://motheranarchy.blogspot.com Quote
Guest guest Posted April 6, 2006 Report Posted April 6, 2006 Neither of you are going to have to worry about this much longer. Even as we speak, I have a number of autistic scientists in my employ. They are trying to isolate the non-autistic genome. Once discovered, we can then abort non-autistics before they are born and rid the earth of this terrible scourge of non-autistics. For those non-autistics who are already alive, it is hoped that, through this genetic research, we can develop a cure for them. As our scientific methods become more precise, we are successfully able to diagnose more and more of these non-autistics. They can run, but they can't hide. Cross your fingers. We are on the verge of great progress. Tom Administrator > For this, NTs expect me to be 'open'? Guest guest Posted April 6, 2006 Report Posted April 6, 2006 " When I was in high school, I had no use for endless discussions in the ladies' washroom on the hidden meaning to wearing purple eye shadow instead of blue eye shadow or whether I thought such-and-such a boy was wearing his Valente's too small or whether I thought Mr. so-and-so, the English Lit teacher was totally groddy to the max. Guest guest Posted April 6, 2006 Report Posted April 6, 2006 Unfortunately, I did not avail myself of the opportunity to learn the hidden meanings of such things and to this day -- while still abhorring purple eye shadow but for reasons of my own -- I have no idea what was being discussed back then. You know what I mean, eh? :-) Raven > > " When I was in high school, I had no use for endless discussions in > the ladies' washroom on the hidden meaning to wearing purple eye > shadow instead of blue eye shadow or whether I thought such-and- such > a boy was wearing his Valente's too small or whether I > thought Mr. so-and-so, the English Lit teacher was totally groddy to > the max. Guest guest Posted April 6, 2006 Report Posted April 6, 2006 Silly, purple is for brown or green eyed people and blue is for blue- eyed people. Oh my god, like--I'm so sure. I CAN'T believe you don't know that! No wait, blue shouldn't be worn with blue eyes because there's no contrast. Umm, it needs to match what you're wearing? Purple is more fun? Brown eyed people wear it when they're sad because 'don't it make my brown eyes blue?' > > " When I was in high school, I had no use for endless discussions in > the ladies' washroom on the hidden meaning to wearing purple eye > shadow instead of blue eye shadow or whether I thought such-and-such > a boy was wearing his Valente's too small or whether I > thought Mr. so-and-so, the English Lit teacher was totally groddy to > the max. Guest guest Posted April 6, 2006 Report Posted April 6, 2006 If the seed-pods I'm developing can be distributed effectively, this will be a non-issue. Guest guest Posted April 6, 2006 Report Posted April 6, 2006 Raven was not assaulting you Toni. She was responding to your post. Remember please that this is an Aspie board. You are not Aspie. But you are here by my good grace. Raven and I and others are Aspies and we are just expressing our opinions. On the Family Forum, if Raven had behaved that way, you would have good grounds to call her on it. And I would back you up. Tom Administrator Thats what I get for trying to be helpful! Quote

Guest guest Posted April 6, 2006 Report Posted April 6, 2006 Well in my case thats exactly what NT's are doing to me, seeing me as a person with a MH label and a few more of their own and not giving a stuff about the person I am which is a much nicer and more sincere one than they are. Im Kate2 from the bullying list by the way who's life is being made pretty difficult by bullying from non-autistics. Guest guest Posted April 7, 2006 Report Posted April 7, 2006 ---I wanted to email you in private but don't know your email address. If i have come across as judgemental, bitter, unaccepting,self-righteous or any other unGodly traits, please forgive me. God knows my heart and motives in my reply to you and I am ok with that. I wish you nothing but the best in all that you venture to do. Thanks again for allowing me to spend some time here. God Bless.
