Guest guest
I was just wondering. I started doing the ozone sauna about a year ago and when I first did it I rashed big time. My doctors had me do the saunas without ozone a few times and then recommended Liquid Needle-light signal detox soaks which I did. For anyone who has never done these you will typically notice the first time that you get in a tub with this product that you will have a very sticky film come out of you almost as soon as you get in. [not everyone does this, but then not everyone rashes in o3 sauna] The sticky stuff is fat soluable toxins coming out of your skin which must then be scrubbed off. I spoke with several other patients using the soaks who got the sticky film and we all had a similiar experience. Namely, we started out getting a thick film of sticky toxins in our initial soak and then each progressive soak the stickiness got less and less. In fact, the first time I did the soak I was convinced that the gooey stuff that came out of me was in the product itself, and when I got out of the tub I pored out a little on my hand to confirm this and was amazed to find that there was no stickiness to the product at all. Eventually if you keep doing the soaks this post soak sticky film will go away, proving that the stuff was coming out of your body. So anyhow, I moved and wasn't able to do the o3 sauna for about eight months, but I continues with the soaks. When I recently started doing the sauna again a few months ago, I had noticably reduced rash. In fact on my abdomen, the place where I used to rash severely, I didn't rash at all. This allowed me to stay in the sauna longer than I had before and cup much longer on my abdomen. Interestingly though, I had some powerful neuro and other symptoms not to long after resuming the o3 sauna. Symptoms that I didn't get previously when I was doing the o3 sauna in Dallas, which I did about 11 times in Dallas before I moved, rashing each time. Now my understanding based on what my Doctors there told me and what I have read, is that the rash is caused by oxidative stress to the skin due to the the toxins being zapped. More toxins, more rashing and the only way through it is to keep at it until you get get cleaned out. My question is this though: If you have the rash from each o3 sauna does that mean that much of the ozone isn't going all that deep in the tissues. That it's being used up on the toxins that are right there in the skin? And that once you stop rashing that this means that more of the ozone is going systemic, and oxidizing toxins that are more deeply located? If so that would explain why I got more significant neuro and other symptoms AFTER I stopped rashing than when I rashed. Of course, as I said, the reduced rash allowed for more cupping and time in the sauna which also could factor in there. Whatever the case, I backed off of the sauna in response to those symptoms and stepped up my support therapies and am getting over those neuro and other symptoms. One more question. If you do the o3 sauna and just allow the funnel to hang down and don't cup at all, compared to cupping the whole treatment, does that significantly effect the amount of ozone that you are absorbing? Thanks for any insights that anyone has on these things. Jack
Guest guest
Dear Jack, Ozone works by proximity, so it will clean the surface of the skin, then the fat layer under the skin, and then move deeper into the tissues. The neuro symptoms you refer to could be mercury moving into the brain, possibly. When you use the funnel, you are concentrating the ozone in a particular area, as well as protecting it from the heat. If the funnel is hanging down in the sauna, you are losing some to heat. Also, since ozone is heavier than air, you are losing more yet, ozone that is hitting the bottom of the cabinet. That is why we put the input fitting high on the door on the sauna cabinet. I have seen the rash form on a person's body in a triangular shape starting from their upper right (where the ozone comes into the cabinet) down and across the chest and abdomen. This was a very interesting illustration of the path of the ozone coming into the cabinet. Best of Health! Guest guest
Hi Saul, Thanks for the useful information on the ozone sauna. I am not going to leave the funnel in the sauna hanging down anymore. I'll find other ways to reduce ozone absorption, if needed, such as not running the generator the whole treatment. I'm glad I'm not rashing anymore but it obviously does create better systemic absorption as you noted. The thought had already crossed my mind that the neurosymptoms were possibly mercury related. I at one time tested extremely high for Mercury but over a period of a couple years I was able to go from very high levels to nondetectable by DMSA challenge without using significant amounts of Rx chelators. I just used good nutrition with emphasis on mostly organic high fiber diet, natural detox therapies such as coffee enemas and liver flushes, and a product called co- rectal vites which contain nutrients for phase1 and phase2 detox absorbed into the portal circulation. I also used some msm, alpha lipoic acid, and nature's balance chlorella as natural chelators. If the neurosymptoms that I got when I started using the ozone sauna [actually rather intensely, confident in my current strength] are mercury related that would mean that the ozone sauna is breaking mercury lose that was out of reach, and not able to be chelated by the powerful DMSA chelator. Hhhmmmm..........interesting. I guess once a person gets poisoned with mercury, that even after you get over the worst of it, there are still going to be pockets here and there, or that's what Hal Huggins seems to think. That a person needs nine lives to get rid of every last bit of it. That of course was before O3 sauna was well known. [i guess it still isn't well known] I'd like to get a copy of your " owners manual for the human body " and also call you sometime to ask a few more questions about using my plasmafire sauna. Thanks.
