Guest guest
Ana's Immuno called today with good news. First, please excuse the emotional rantings that are about to happen. I am trying really hard to be happy and not frustrated, and to be hopeful, please don't misunderstand this. They said Ana is normal...all of her levels were normal. Her antibody responses were normal. Her IgG2 was normal (three weeks prior it was low) at 38 (normal 30-350 or something like that). They said her T-cell function looked hypernormal....and they want to recheck that in six months but otherwise...see ya later they said. Ok. This is what I want, I want her to be growing out of this, I do. But I also want her to be growing on her own without me nursing her around the clock. I want her to sleep without screaming out in pain three to five times anight. I want her to not be sick week after week. And now I feel like I did when the GI doctors sent us packing with unanswered blood in her stools at four months. It's like they are saying, our specialty area looks normal so you're on your own, figure it out! And what does hypernormal T-cell reactions mean? And one other thing, how does she go from having a selective IgG subclass deficiency to being normal and haveing no PID in three weeks time? Thats how long it was between blood draws. I'm sorry I'm not excited and thrilled adn jumping for joy, and I feel like a horrible mother for being upset, but I am. Have any of you been through something similar? What do I do? Go back to the GI doctors and let them run her through the ringer again? Or just do what I felt like they were saying...accept that I am overreacting and that my daughter, who is not growing on her own etc, is normal? God I hope that is true. Sorry for spelling problems, I'm writing through tears. Ana 14 months and ????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? ???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
