Guest guest Posted September 7, 2006 Report Share Posted September 7, 2006 Hi, We started my daughter on .5mg of melatonin about 4 or 5 days ago. It seems to really help. She seems to be very sensitive to meds....and I know it is a small dose for a 13 yr old. And I have noticed she has been scratching her head a lot. I asked her about it and she said she has been itchy all over lately, ankles, etc.. I did a google search and I guess itching could be a rare side effect of melatonin. (we seem to get all the rare side effects in our family) Have any of you had experience with this? Do you think it might go away or is it an allergy? How do I know? Just wondering.
