Kids are so cute, aren't they!? ph is the one who makes us laugh on a

daily basis. Yesterday at flag football he apparently had the ref laughing

the entire game. Had a conversation with him and even had the ref tie his

shoe. The coach came up to us after the game to tell us that ph was a

riot and that he'd been talking to the ref the entire game. We watched the

game and could see J talking-just have no clue what he said! LOL Hope it

was good. Knowing ph he told him about his blood, how he used to get

IVIG and now gets SCIG and so forth. We went to a Lenten talk given by a

priest for homeschooled kids one day--- so the priest is talking about

the German town of Oberammergau and how they have been performing the

Passion play since 1634 when the bubonic plague had killed a bunch of

people. SO ph raises his hand when the priest asked if anyone had

questions. He wanted to know HOW people died of bubonic plague. So the

priest says, " Well, it is an illness that kills you. " ph says, " I know,

but HOW did they die? Did they bleed to death or what killed them? " So the

priest explained how one dies from bubonic plague.

I guess when they know too much about how the body works, they want to know

the DETAILS. Sure did make the Lenten talk interesting. <cough> ph

knows he can't fight bacteria and viruses-he asks about why he gets sick,

etc and we have told them in terms they can understand. I think it is

good for them to know how things work, etc.

My guys are supposed to go to Victory Junction Gang Camp this summer and I

am hoping they will keep an eye on their scrapes and cuts, etc.. our ped

told us we need to tell them to do that & we already have.

Peace Be With You,

Pattie

Don't let your past dictate who you are now, but let it be a part of who you

will become.

Subject: trying to laugh..

A wonderful friend sent me this video called " A day in the life "

which is about a little boy who finds he has a PID. He has to start

IVIG and is scared. There are these little cartoon characters to help

explain the immune system and what it does. We got about halfway thru

it--the video says things like, which parts make up the army, and if

your army doesnt have enough soldiers in it, it cant fight the big

germs, and stuff like that.

Which Savannah actually understood. Brennan, who is 3 and will be 4

April 22--watched the thing very seriuosly. Finally, he said, well, I

might not gots nuff soldiers, but I do gots lotsa bones!!and bones is

good!!LOL We were all watching it very seriously and that cracked us

all up.
