Guest guest Posted June 23, 2006 Report Posted June 23, 2006 Lauri, Boy, does this sound familiar! I thought I was reading about my daughter! is on trazadone for sleep. She has the same issues. I can't give her benadryl, because 2 tsps won;t work for her. She needs 4-5, which will work for a few nights than she becomes wired. Even the trazadone at 50mg doesn't touch her anymore, and she only weighs 64 lbs..These meds tend to peter out after a while. I think she needs to be " knocked out " in order to go to sleep.(lol) usually only will sleep if she's on an antipsychotic, and I don't want to go there again yet. How old did you say your son was? Just my advice, but DON'T let him hit you!!! My daughter used to hit me, and it continued getting worse. I had bruises all over my arms and legs from her. If it's getting to that point, you have to stop it, because they go on to bigger and more dangerous things.. My parents are also the same. this is what I hear, " She'll outgrow it " Ok! If only she would! They never come around either. They just don't want to deal with it or hear it. Hang in there!!!! hugs Judy mom to Brittany-11-NT -going into 6th gr-high honor student -Brittany's twin-3-29-95--4-7-95 -9-bp,ocd,adhd,odd,pdd-nos,50mg trazadone 50mg zoloft going into reg 5th gr class-504plan iel 4-ocd, speech problem-going into kindergarten-speech therapy Quote
