Yes my son is on Concerta 54mg and tenex. I don't mind him talking a lot a home but in school is where it becomes the problem. sweetestheart3641 <sweetestheart3641@...> wrote: it sounds like you're telling the story of our life. my son is almost 8 and he does exactly the same thing. all the talking can sure make you exhausted from listening. his psychiatrist put him on adderal and that really seemed to help. he doesn't talk nearly as much except when the medicine wears off. then the talking starts

My own son started to play down there but never in appropraite places. So Itold him there is a place for it and a time for it and in an unlocked room downstairs is not appropriate place.I would look for a book aimed at his level and read it for him (may be a father thing to do ) some hospitals have sex awareness topics to help teach special needs kids about their bodies. my own son was going to go but my x (his dad ) wouldnt take him .

The big thing that sticks out at me is where did he learn that it was "sinning".that worries me .Did he come up with it on his own or did someone some where teach him it was (like I know my mother told me that my son shouldnt do that it isnt right ).if you go to church could your pastor (someone who is "authority on sinnning "discuss with him body functions and that happens to boys.

wish you luck on it

puberty can be so hard when it is nt kids (btw the son i mentioned is 13)

Re: Re: constantly talking

I going to explain what happened to my son..Please I hope I do not offend any one here...My son is 16 years old and is going through adolescent now...I found out the hard way he is having wet dreams...Sunday after noon her went take a nap..When he woke up he asked me to help him...He had prior to going to sleep put a plastic tie wrap on his penis..he thought if he did that it would stop him from wetting his underwear..He told me he wanted to stop sinning..This has just torn my heart out...I talked to him about this and told him that god made him like that and that is a normal boy thing and he has done nothing wrong..We have had so many battles and so many thing to over come...When I saw what did I put fear in me that he going to start hurting himself..I almost had to bring him to the hospital..My husband came home and we got it off of him..He seems fine now,I checked it to make sure it doesn't look infected or anything...Now I could have

imagine all the questions I would have gotten at the hospital...That the scary part too...I normally never ever look at my sons, just because they feel uncomfortable now but I glad he had enough common sense to ask for help.I think it longer we would have been in trouble...

Hi,

Bless his heart! A question…he

thought he was “sinning”, by chance do you guys go to church? I’m

just asking because I know that was a discussion in the group. (Im not sure if it

were here or if it was in another group). I think you done the right thing. Your

son is he autistic mild or aspergers? The group discussion was about “obsession”

of religion and there were tons of post about it. I don’t however think

there is anything wrong with religion but with our kids it can be a bit over

the top it seems. My kids obsession (as of now) is his computer, video games he

is 10 yrs old and I dread the day when he starts having those dreams too. I am

glad you posted this but I also feel your pain. Thank goodness he is ok! I have

often wondered if I should speak to him about this soon, if nothing else is to

give him a warning.

I knew my 9 yo Aspie son talked a lot, but I didn't think he was constantly

talking, until I read all these posts! Now I realize just how much he does

talk LOL!! It is not a problem in school, I think he is able to keep it

together in school, but once he is home, he is a motor mouth! He talks while

he plays, which is fine, but we went out to dinner last night & not only

could he not stop talking, he was rather loud. I told him to use a library

voice. He talked so much that he hardly ate! Mostly we just let him talk, as

long as it was not too loud, and he had to take breaks to eat. I just want

to thank you all for making me aware of this behavior!
