We have this problem to. My son just 10yrs

yesterday…talks a lot about his games. This contributes to getting him

into trouble at school and with the classmates. He talks a lot about his games

and in return this does not make good conversation to the other kids. They generally

have no idea of what games he plays.

What do I do about it? I simply tell him

he needs to talk about other things to people and I work on that with him.

Since he is not interested in any type of sports such as football, baseball any

of the above it’s hard to get him on something his peers can relate to. I

know other kids play lots of games but my son is obsessed and gets it honestly,

he can’t help it since my husband is a computer tek there is a pc in just

about every room in our house. I believe when my son gets other interest this

will help. For my son, he lives breathes and sleeps about computer world-games.

I am subjecting him to other points of interest I believe he will like. We just

started karate classes in retaliation of bullying issues hoping to build some

self esteem here. I know this doesn’t talk a lot about constantly talking

but I believe because he focuses on his obsessions this is why he constantly

talks. I do tell him firmly that’s enough and the reasons why it is

enough. Am I wrong to do so?

All this talk of 'constant talkers' reminds me, I am taking my aspie to the city on Wednesday, a mom and son day!! Two hours there, two hours home and a day going to all his favourite stores - and talking non-stop the entire day!! Yippee!!! But I can't wait to treat him to a special day!

I don't have any advice, does he have a therapist that maybe could talk to him about his thoughts about it being sinful? Or a pastor? Could you go online and find some sites about the body and how it develops? I'm sorry this throws me for a loop, anyway, maybe I bumped this up and someone else will come along with some advice! I going to explain what happened to my son..Please I hope I do not offend any one here...My son is 16 years old and is going through adolescent now...I found out the hard way he is having wet dreams...Sunday after noon her went take a nap..When he woke up he asked me to help him...He had prior to going to sleep put a plastic tie wrap on his penis..he thought if he did that it would stop him from wetting his underwear..He told me he wanted to stop sinning..This has just torn my heart out...I talked to him about this and told him that god made him like that and that is a normal boy thing and he has done nothing wrong..We have had so many battles and so many thing to over come...When I saw what did I put fear in me that he going to start hurting himself..I almost had to bring him to the hospital..My husband came home and we got it off of him..He seems fine now,I checked it to make sure it doesn't look infected or anything...Now I could have imagine all the questions I would have gotten at the hospital...That the scary part too...I normally never ever look at my sons, just because they feel uncomfortable now but I glad he had enough common sense to ask for help.I think it longer we would have been in trouble...
