Guest guest
Dear Ken, Just a few observations: - Ozone is formed from oxygen. Less oxygen = less ozone. They have that reversed. - Further, ozone only absorbs a small spectrum of solar radiation centered at 185 nanometers and 253 nanometers, so the effect of more or less ozone is tiny, compared to the huge spectrum of UVA, UVB and UVC. - If the premise is extrapolated, then a total lack of oxygen would result in eternal life. I invite the authors to be the volunteers for that experiment. Then they can achieve immortality in the Darwin Awards. Best of Health! Could you please take a quick look at it and tell me what you think. Anyone else interested? Please comment. It was sent to me by a friend with Parkinson's for my comments. > Best wishes and much love, Ken > > Ken Gullan > Institute for Research Integration (IRI), San Diego, CA 92106-2424 > IRI is a 501C(3) non-profit corporation established to help children with developmental difficulties. > To contact me off-list use kengullan@... or call 619-222-1104 > > >

Guest guest
Hi Ken. We talked about this last year. There have been studies done in the US that say that people at higher elevations have higher numbers of illness due to low oxygen. What has been found is that many older people retiring and moving to the country in higher elevations are having to move down to lower elevations where there is more oxygen. Having lived in higher elevations and feeling like I was going to die if I didn't get off the mountain, and havingmet other people there that had the same feeling, I think that the research on this one must be wrong. I used to live at 8000 feet and when ever I would leave the mountain and go to the valley, right about the 3000 ft level I would start feeling great. Now I LOVED the mountains and hated the valley, so it was not psychological response. I just felt like I was always dragging in the low oxygen of the high altitude. I often think of Jim and feel like he threw himself into a downward spiral when he went to hang out with his son in the high elevations of Colorado. Anyway, I think their study is flawed also.
