Are you trying to use kombucha as a culture on which to test other substances for antimicrobial effect, or are you trying to test the antimicrobial effect of kombucha on other organisms? Guest guest
Im trying to test the antimicrobial effect of kombucha on common pathogens. The problem Im facing now is I dont know what dilution range to use. the standard MIC tests available in laboratory manuals are for antibiotics.I cant use that protocol cause even 1 micro gram of any antibiotic will have some antimicrobial activity, whereas 50 -100 ml of KT consumed on a regular basis shows antimicrobial effect .So how do i do an authentic MIC test on kombucha?
