Guest guest
Hi all, We are eating weeds again ... just a few young dandelion leaves, petals, young hawthorn leaves and young chickweed are nice with salads. We are careful they are clean and very careful we know what we are picking. Dandelions are diuretics so we are sparing. I also add just a few leaves from herbs like sage (tasty but bitter) and sorrel is very nice. I chop them all quite small and sprinkle on top of a regular salad or mix with chopped tomatoes. It's nice to have food for free. Nettles are growing now - they are very healthy too - they make a nice tea. I hope I could use some in cooking. They are good for calcium. Best wishes, Sandy
