Guest guest Posted February 19, 2008 Report Share Posted February 19, 2008 I made some tea and then realized I didn't have a spare scoby and didn't have any fermented tea ready to give one up. So I kidnapped a baby scoby from one of the jars at about its ninth day, a few days shy of the tea being where I like it. Will the tea continue to ferment at the same pace with the baby gone? The mother is still in there. I guess it will start another baby. By the time I am ready to use the tea, the baby will probably be quite flimsy and young. Anything useful to do with that?
