Guest guest
Hi, Quick response to requesting x-rays and MRI files - just wanted to let you know why they sometimes ask why you want them. If a doctor requests them, there is no fee. So, if you have your pediatrician request the records for you (and he/she gives them to you) you can get any and all records for free. If you just want them for 'personal use' then they may charge you - sometimes quite a lot of money. I had my daughter's surgical records faxed to my pediatrician's office and she faxed them to me - it was free - when I asked the hospital to fax the records directly to me - they were going to charge in excess of $35.00 per page!
