Guest guest
Most of us here are aware of the failed ENHANCE study where Vytorin failed to reduce arterial plaque despite huge decreases in LDL. Researchers were suprised to find that the Vytorin group had increased plaque. More stunning was the skyrocketing rates of cancer in the vytorin group. The increased rates of cancer do not surprise me at all. Many cancers are hormone sensitive. Thats a well established medical fact. Since cholesterol is the foundation to hormones, weakening this foundation can only upset the delicate human balance of hormones. A logical pathway to cancer from statins. Now lets reverse the situation. Could increased levels of LDL fight cancer? When one considers the wide spectrum of health problems induced from cholesterol inhibition, could elevating cholesterol heal the human body from these afflictions? Perhaps the great statin disaster of our time has a silver lining. You just have to cast a little sunlight on the dark cloud to see the silver lining.
