Guest guest Posted December 8, 2005 Report Posted December 8, 2005 P.S. Feel free to add comments. It's not finished yet, but we're thinking of something along these lines. Inger ANNOUNCEMENT: REMODLING AGAIN I've put a new picture on our home page, and so Inger will be fiddling with the colors again to help everything match up. Please be patient. It will all be finished up soon. Tom Administrator FAM Secret Society is a community based on respect, friendship, support and acceptance. Everyone is valued. Guest guest Posted December 9, 2005 Report Posted December 9, 2005 I should have specified "...if you have any complaints or suggestions regarding the color scheme..." But cute rhyme. Matches the image perfectly. :-) Inger Re: ANNOUNCEMENT: REMODLING AGAIN >Inger: "P.S. Feel free to add comments." Guest guest Posted December 9, 2005 Report Posted December 9, 2005 I've put a picture up on the home page today which best reflects my dream that I keep having about going down into a cave to find Aspergia. Hope this conjours up good images for you all also. Tom Quote
Guest guest Posted December 9, 2005 Report Posted December 9, 2005 Wow that is a neat cave - are they mushrooms in the foreground? I like the slightly blue glow too - I love blue light :-) Did your dream have all the bridges in too? Out of curiousity - as ever :-) how is the picture similar to your dreams and how is it different? If you don't want to answer that is okay btw. > > I've put a picture up on the home page today which best reflects my > dream that I keep having about going down into a cave to find > Aspergia. > > Hope this conjours up good images for you all also. > > Tom > Quote
Guest guest Posted December 9, 2005 Report Posted December 9, 2005 , Those are mushrooms in the foreground. The picture is similar in the sense that there were vast open caverns that we had to get through to find our final destination. There were wooden stairs and bridges here and there, but not walkways. The inside of the cavern in my dreams is sand colored. I don't know how many of the people who have posted here have ever toured Mammoth Cave, but the larger tunnels best represent the kind we journey down in my dreams. If you go into the Photos section, you can find the picture and enlarge it to get a better look at it. Put the entire link below into your browser and you might be able to see the Photo if you are signed into the group. http://photos./group//vwp?.dir=/ !+Photo+Album & .dnm=SocietyD---2.jpg & .src=gr & .view=t & .hires=t I happen to know my mom will be getting a digital camera for Christmas this year. I may take pictures of my mural, which measure something like 2 1/2 feet by 36 feet (or more) and use those for the homepage. It's one long continuous mine tunnel that I drew from ages 12 to 24. Guest guest Posted December 9, 2005 Report Posted December 9, 2005 Well, Rainbow, your post comes at an opportune moment. We don't approve the use of drugs here. It seems that you deserve a spanking for your post. As it's your brithday, perhaps a birthday spanking is in order. 67 swats. Who would like to give it to him then? Tom >Tom: " Those are mushrooms in the foreground. " Reminds me of being under the influence of peyote mushrooms....... Rainbow Quote

Guest guest Posted December 9, 2005 Report Posted December 9, 2005 I'm an opportunist Rainbow. My hope was to promote welfare between you and your lady. The idea was that you could print out my post, give it to her, and have her spank you 67 times. Sheesh! Good intentions gone awry! Tom >Tom: " We don't approve the use of drugs here. Guest guest Posted December 9, 2005 Report Posted December 9, 2005 The short answer... Trust me, it helps. The long answer... Aspies have imaginative minds. Why should creativity be limited during sex? Stifling the mind in other areas of life causes frustration. So it is with sex for many Aspies. Inger's site sums it up very well: http://www.creative-minds.info/Lorelei/Relationships.htm " Even with opportunities to mate, some Aspies still prefer sexual activities that can be done solitaire, because it enables control of all the variables involved, gives instant reward, and means less pain and hassle all around (both before and after). " Others are only interested in sex if it involves domination, pain, degradation, fetishism, exhibitionism, voyeurism or some other unusual component. BDSM and other deviations seems to be surprisingly prevalent among AS, TS, ADHD, and other atypical & creative people. Possible reasons for this: " a) If one has a super-receptive nervous system, it is very easy to get Pavlovian connections between certain sensory stimuli & sex if they happen to occur at a time one was in an aroused state, and then get addicted to experiencing that again and again. " People who are mentally oriented, with poor body contact, may need something particularly interesting, unusual and intense to awaken bodily feelings and passions at all. " Tom >Tom: " Sheesh! " Thanks anyway but we're busy dancing...... She wants to know why you think kinky sex would 'help' a relationship anyway? Rainbow Quote
Guest guest Posted December 9, 2005 Report Posted December 9, 2005 Thanks. There seems to be some sort of creature amognst the mushrooms - or are my eyes playing tricks on me? I would have loved to zoom up even closer to see what it was. > > > > I tried that link - I was signed in and I got an error message. > > > > > Quote

The 'kinky sex' comment was from my non-aspie mate, reading my email over my shoulder, "She wants to know why you think......"Thanks for the info though, a good read! Guest guest Posted December 9, 2005 Report Posted December 9, 2005 By golly, you're right! I didn't see him there. He seems to be some kind of Yoda-like creature. If you go into the photos section, and click on it, it will expand the image. If you click on the image a second time, it will expand it even more so you can better see him. Guest guest Posted December 9, 2005 Report Posted December 9, 2005 Mmmmmmmm I did that - I might see if there is someway I can get it into photo shop and then I can zoom up even closer to have a really good look at the critter :-) However I am likely to forget or have to deal with unfortunate mundane aspects of life (sigh). Wouldn't it be nice if I could just play all day and let life take care of itself - of course then I woke up :-) > > > > > > I tried that link - I was signed in and I got an error message. > > > > > > > > > Quote
Guest guest Posted December 9, 2005 Report Posted December 9, 2005 Rainbow, You can trust me in that I know through experience that it helps. I don't want to get too graphic here about explaining HOW it helps. I'm pretty sure we are all of age here, but some folks may be sensitive about this subject and not want anything too graphic being mentioned. But in non-sexual parts of our lives, it is very liberating to be free to do what we please without self criticism and without external criticism, right? It is also a happy feeling when others accept you the way you are, I beleive. Yet... As far as sex goes, many times in relatiionships, we are afraid to talk to our partners about our deepest darkest fantasies for fear they will criticize us, and that makes us feel bad about ourselves. And we are afraid to ask our partners to act our fantasies out for fear they may deny us our desires. THEN, we go off and criticize ourselves for having these desires in the first place. Now obviously, a partner should not be forced to do something that goes against their value systems, but at the same time, it is a joyous feeling -not just in terms of sex, but in terms of love- when a partner DOES make an effort to please. It means that your partner loves you, accepts you, and wants to please you, and even if they don't actually satisfy you completely, it means alot that they try, because in a way, that is sort of a demonstration of their commitment to the relationship. If a partner wants to see another partner happy, well, then that's a kind of love isn't it? Sex is a natural part of our beings, and I see no reason why needs in that part of our lives should not be satisfied when people are in loving comitted relationships together. Guest guest Posted December 9, 2005 Report Posted December 9, 2005 >Tom: "He seems to be some kind of Yoda-like creature."Under WHICH mushroom? I still see more than one 'strange' thing in there! Aren't those meant to represent 'magic' mushrooms. I don't see any dead logs or leave litter from which mushrooms traditionally grow. Do you? The colors and lighting are very psychedelic, now aren't they? Perhaps I should have referred to psillocybin (sp?) rather than peyote, a cactus. (IF I were a druggie I'd probably know how to spell it.) Rainbow Quote
