Guest guest
Welcome. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have and tell us more about Spencer's care so far. > Hi, > > My name is Kligman. My son Spencer, 4 years old, was recently diagosed with Hypogammaglobulinemia. Along with that, he has Asthma, terrible allergies, food, dogs, dust, etc; and we suspect seasonal. He has had two sets of ear tubes, adnoids removed, three bouts of Pheumonia, chronic sinus infections. He basically seems to catch everything. > > He was also treated for Reflux, and " fell " off the growth chart; weight and height. > > I am now thinking that this is all related to his most recent diagnosis. > > I was surfing the web and found your group. I would love to learn more about this. > > Thanks.
Guest guest
Hi, I'm Pam. My dd Rebekah was diagnosed with CVID (sometimes the doctors calls it hypogamma...) at 2.5 years. I found this group surfing the net, desperately hoping for help for my dd. You've found a great group. Guest guest
Welcome and Spencer!!! Please email us with more about Spencer's care so far, and any questions you may have... there is always someone who has experienced the same thing if not something very similar and can help you out... and if not then we can do our best to help you by giving you some advice! Do you have any other kids? If so are they healthy or do they have medical problems as well?? My son has the hypogammaglobulinemia as well... not very severe but his levels are off non the less and he gets sick when he gets sick... Please email us more about your family and your son... would be interested in " meeting " you and getting to know you as well as Spencer! Good luck and I hope you get a lot of help or at least reassurance from this group! With wishes of love, strength and healthy days and nights, mom to son Dakota (age 3 1/2) has ear tubes, migraines and hypogammaglobulinemia all by age
Guest guest
, Welcome! You will learn much here, I sure have. I wanted to mention something that's off-topic but may relate to Spencer's reflux. Both of my daughters have dairy intolerances, and they both get reflux in response to exposure to dairy. Since dairy is in just about everything commercially prepared, you are getting it unless you are restricting for it. You may know all that already, but I wanted to pass it along in case you didn't. (Everything I know about dairy I learned from one of the members here!) 's GERD doc says if you get reflux in response to dairy, you will reflux if there is even the tiniest amount of dairy in your diet, there is no " cutting back " about it. Hope that helps! (mom to Kate, born 9/19/02, dairy intolerant; and , age 5, GERD, dairy intolerant -- currently has polysaccharide antibody def, previously had transient IgG, IgA, t-cell & other defs)
