the cellulose of the mushroom not digestible

This will direct you to a page that talks about applications of the

cellulose. So in short a. xylinum may save you and the earth!

I also wanted to add that in reading this I understood that cellulose

is indigestible. So I guess if you eat the mushroom it will fill you up

and you could use it for dieting if you like pickled stuff! Anyway,

nata is a desert mentioned here and another paper. The bacteria that

grows the mushroom is used in this desert made from coconut water I

think!..It was a dieting fad in Japan.So for the person who wanted to

know if you could eat the mushroom..I guess it would provide a lot of

fiber but the organisms living in this protective shield may not be

readily available since it is hard to digest.I guess eating it will

reveal the truth in the end...no pun intended.And yes I know this is

not the only thing that makes up the mushroom but it does form the mass.
