Guest guest Posted March 1, 2006 Report Posted March 1, 2006 My son is 10 and has been diagnoised with Aspergers. He has a hard time dealing with authority and it is constantly a power struggle with him and my husband. He also cries alot. My household is having a hard time dealing with this situation and me and my husband always feel like we are walking on pins and needles. We also need suggestions on punishment techniques. I feel like I am the only one out there with these problems and feel quite alone. Can anyone relate? Amy Quote
Guest guest Posted March 4, 2006 Report Posted March 4, 2006 You know - My pregnancy with was SOOOOO different from with Louise. No migraines, hardly nay sickness - i lamost thought i'd gone to heaven!!. Then after he was born, he showed little or no intereste in being lifted from his cot, would poss have gone hungry (and we wouldn't have known) unless i actaully decided to feed him - which took AES, but i think the other medical issuses came in to play there - like the hypotonia. I kept getting told "boys are diffeerent" (but not that different i thought) It wasn't till i got pregant with my youngest - had months and months of migraines, sickness, bad chest infections. I was CONVINCED it was a girl, till about a week before i gave birht i sadi to my friend "i'm having a boy" - i'd never been so sure of anything. 6 days later - i had a boy. Re: Son and Aspergers Nope was hard even in Utero. Pre-term labor, born early. Never slept more than two hours at a time, wanted to nurse all the time. Did not like to be put down. I just thought that was normal until my daughter was born! No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Free Edition.
