Hi Stan, to complicated these matters further I would like to add that my

son had a nosebleed on Taurine - on the first day of supplementing and it

was a VERY low starting dose. Even more complicating the fact that he was

not on antivirals at the time. He was on LDN though (not a reported direct

antiviral or chelating action).

We see a growing number of connections between Valtrex and LDN treatments.

Your observation my still support the theroy that antiviral therapy (or an

immune therapy that

may stimulate activty and lower viral loads) may cause the blood to become a bit

thinner.

Stan the only folks who need more taurine than that are the seizure

kids. Between 1 and 3 gms a day is recommended for them.

Also Vitamin K deficiency can cause nosebleeds, most ASD kids are

deficient in this. Don't know if taurine might be suppressing

Vitamin K in some way. Too many omega 3s can thin the blood as well.

I am the one who post nose bleeds first in this

group. I found out nose bleeds is caused by high

sulfate , tarine is sulfur. lots of things is high on

sulfur. My husband and my son even my 14month daughter

is high on sulfur. they all have history of nose

bleeding.

Another cause of nosebleeds?

My son also used to get nose bleeds all the time.

Ironically, he always measured really low in just about every component of

his sulphation chain - cystine thru to sulphate.

In his case, he went through a phase of being facinated with his nose. After

a while, the nosebleeds started and they just kept on coming - in his sleeep

etc.

We took him to the doctor who identified that he'd given himself a nasal

infection with all the deep mining he'd been doing.

He gave us some nasal drops, it cleared up in a couple of days and never

came back
