My husband was diagnosed with HEPC a year ago. He went through drug therapy, which ended in December but it did not put him in remission. He had another blood test in June which still shows virus in his system but the doctor told him if it wasn't worse than the one he had after treatment, he could put off further treatment for a while. My question is, if the virus is not growing, is his liver still being damaged? Is he really wise to put off further treatment just because his blood work isn't any worse than when he stopped treatment?
