Guest guest Posted July 18, 2006 Report Posted July 18, 2006 Stan, Again you just ask the right questions in my opinion, KUDOS!! I happened to check my ASD son and my PH levels 2 months ago. We both barely changed the color if at all. I would say 5.5 for both of us. I found this strange considering I was expecting CJ to be a high number. His liver enzymes have been slightly raised even before we started any biomed. They still are slightly raised even though he has been on Milk thistle since Feb and 3 weeks ago I added 3 drops of a general liver support from wild oats. I’m unsure of my liver enzymes considering I haven’t been to a Dr. since my 3 year old Daughter was born. But I have ALWAYS had excessive red cheeks with exertion and have many allergies environmental and some food. I have to constantly reapply Toms apricot deodorant in order to live with myself (stopped using aluminum containing deodorants over 1 year ago). CJ (6yr) has many food allergies and we have avoided milk, tree nuts, almonds, eggs, beef, food dyes, etc for almost 4yrs and have been rotating grains and are moving to completely GF and SF as well but not completed. Extremely picky!! CJ had adverse reactions to calcium and super nu thera and folinic. Has trouble with enzymes. He also is on NN children’s DHA CLO and has trouble with adding too much right now he is only able to tolerate 2-3 per day. He has been on OPC-3 for 2 years as well as occational no dye multivites with minerals (he’s low iron). Since March 10th (PH tested with this regiment) he takes MB-12 shots every 3 night, floradix iron and herbs, Valtrex, Diflucan, OPC-3 (antioxidant), CLO, occasional singulair, Milk thistle, other liver support, TD-Glutathione, TD-TTFD, multivitamin and mineral Yummy bears, and Probio gold. I am thinking of adding a small amount of CoQ10 and will be adding TD-DMPS in 3 weeks. I guess I will be adding more green veggies to my diet and hiding them in my sons. Sorry so long. - From: mb12 valtrex [mailto:mb12 valtrex ] On Behalf Of Stan Kurtz Sent: Tuesday, July 18, 2006 10:15 AM mb12 valtrex Subject: PH Testing Anyone? I've been looking at PH balance and the effects of acid to the motabolism the last couple of weeks. I'm curious if anyone has tested their child's urine to check the PH levels. It's those strips you can buy at the pharmacy for PH (not sugar but PH). I am investigating this further right now and would like people who are interested to buy some PH testing strips at their local pharmacy or vitamin shop and then test your kids and report in. My son's was between 7.0 and 7.5 quite consistently (which I believe is very good) I was 5.3 (more acid like). I was able to change my PH through supplementation and adding more green vegetables (although I believe the vegetables had more to do with it). Last night I broke my diet test with some meat and tomato sauce with pasta and some cheese (just a test) and my PH dropped to 5.5. I teach aerobics a few times a week and I always noticed that when people work out really hard they get red in their cheeks, similar to what we see in some of our kids or with gut dysfunction. When working out the muscles aggressively you generate lactic acid and intestinal fungus generates, among other things, d-lactic acid. Secret... stong enough for a man.... so... I used it. Anyway, I've always noticed I have been acidy and going back a handful of year I have had times where my liver tests have been abnormal. Additionally, many deodorants just didn't work for me. I knew years ago that my PH balance was abnormal, but I didn't understand why or know how to pursue it.... plus I was sensitive like woman anyway, so I thought it was just part of the gig. Remember, this was way before my son was sick, so I was quite unaware about real health back then. From what I understand so far acid levels will interfere with cellular energy, which we know is a key area of interest in our kids. That's why many people do HBOT, and some people swear by it. So for the next week or so I'm looking into reduction of acid levels and addition of electromagnetic energy to change cellular energy and to increase oxygen transmission and improve immune system status. More on EM therapy later but that is looking very interesting right now as well. Long story short, if you can get some strips and test your child's urine and report in with the following information, that would be great. 1. What was the PH level? 2. What diet is your child on? 3. What therapies is your child on? Additionally, if people are going to try Valtrex and Diflucan or Nizoral for the first time, please report in the before and after PH balance. I know that people don't always respond to a request like this, but this is probably the least invasive and cheapest test you'll ever encounter, so if you could take a moment and try this it may be very helpful for everyone. Thanks. - Stan Quote

Guest guest Posted July 18, 2006 Report Posted July 18, 2006 Just a word of caution about diflucan---and the liver. Altho some children(Stan's included) can do fine on diflucan for long periods of time-other cannot. I had to take my grandson off of diflucan. He had been on it 5 and a half weeks. A good idea for those on it for long periods of time would be to frequently have a liver panel done. I had also been giving him Thorn's TAPS the whole time too for the liver. Not meant to scare anyone, but just to use caution. MaurineChap 'n Ali <chapnalli@...> wrote: Stan, Again you just ask the right questions in my opinion, KUDOS!! Guest guest Posted July 18, 2006 Report Posted July 18, 2006 Thanks Maurine, But we are only doing a 3 week course to get rid of VERY stubborn yeast and then going back to nystatin because of the liver enzymes. I agree not all of the kids can handle so many things that are systematic and liver involved at once. - From: mb12 valtrex [mailto:mb12 valtrex ] On Behalf Of Maurine Meleck Sent: Tuesday, July 18, 2006 11:32 AM mb12 valtrex Subject: RE: PH Testing Anyone? What was the PH level?2. What diet is your child on?3. What therapies is your child on?Additionally, if people are going to try Valtrex and Diflucan or Nizoral for the first time, please report in the before and after PH balance.I know that people don't always respond to a request like this, but this is probably the least invasive and cheapest test you'll ever encounter, so if you could take a moment and try this it may be very helpful for everyone.Thanks.- Stan Quote
Guest guest Posted July 18, 2006 Report Posted July 18, 2006 Oh that's a good point about deoderants. I'm using a green tea deodorant now that I found in Whole Foods. Aluminum on the arm pit doesn't sound like a good idea. Glad you brought that up. I was also in the 5.3 range and then I dumped food and started juicing again with just green vegetables and my strip is blue now throughout the day. Now my son has meat these days and he eats some nuts and veggies and fruit and his strip is in the same range as mine. Anyway, I'm going to just stick with green veggies for a while and see what happens. Basically I juice some spinach and celery for me and I have salads for regular food. For Ethan I used to do pears and spinach and apple... but apple seems to be a bit acidic from what I've read. Freshly juiced pear is so sweat tasting and can hide just about anything. Try juicing. Costco has the Jack Lalane on their website for 99.00 dollars... I love mine. The other thing that I like about the concept of juicing is that you use less digestive enzymes to get your food through your GI tract. - Stan > > Stan, > > Again you just ask the right questions in my opinion, KUDOS!! > > > > I happened to check my ASD son and my PH levels 2 months ago. Guest guest Posted July 19, 2006 Report Posted July 19, 2006 There is also a list based around this, mostly deals with LL protocol and balancing ph levels, Tami there is a mum now working as ASD community customer support (I believe she sometimes posts here too): BioRaynaturaldetox - Stan, there lots of info in their files section that might be of interest. Guest guest Posted July 27, 2006 Report Posted July 27, 2006 Hi Stan, We're starting a 30-day pH testing regime for our son (age 10), and Dr. Usman told me that the goal for his urine pH is actually 5.8 - 6.2. PH Testing Anyone? I've been looking at PH balance and the effects of acid to the motabolism the last couple of weeks.I'm curious if anyone has tested their child's urine to check the PH levels. It's those strips you can buy at the pharmacy for PH (not sugar but PH). I am investigating this further right now and would like people who are interested to buy some PH testing strips at their local pharmacy or vitamin shop and then test your kids and report in.My son's was between 7.0 and 7.5 quite consistently (which I believe is very good)I was 5.3 (more acid like).I was able to change my PH through supplementation and adding more green vegetables (although I believe the vegetables had more to do with it). When working out the muscles aggressively you generate lactic acid and intestinal fungus generates, among other things, d-lactic acid.Secret... stong enough for a man.... so... I used it.Anyway, I've always noticed I have been acidy and going back a handful of year I have had times where my liver tests have been abnormal. That's why many people do HBOT, and some people swear by it.So for the next week or so I'm looking into reduction of acid levels and addition of electromagnetic energy to change cellular energy and to increase oxygen transmission and improve immune system status. More on EM therapy later but that is looking very interesting right now as well.Long story short, if you can get some strips and test your child's urine and report in with the following information, that would be great.1.
