Guest guest Posted June 4, 2006 Report Posted June 4, 2006 Hi and welcome. I personally don't have the answers to your question, just to say that a friend of mine used to suffer from CFS and more or less managed to heal herself by following my son's protocol (apart from few things she could not get rx for). She found sublingual mb12 very helpful, the one from http://store.agoodvitamin.com/puadbsp1floz.html (also tried the one by VRP but wasn't as good). Have you tried any other autism protocols so far? You might want to start with the diet, methylation support (mb12, folic, minerals and vitamins) etc to boost up your body before starting antivirals and chelation. Garlic is also a natural chelator. Hope this helps, Natasa > > Hi All, > First of all I wanted to say after reading a fair bit on this > site...you are all fantastic parents for trying to help your > children.I dont have kids, but I do know how terrible it is to have > health problems that seem to never go away. The way you keep trying > really moved me...so well done. > > I found your group after trying to find out about Olive leaf extract. > I have had CFS for a very long time and am looking at mercury > poisoning as maybe one reason for the problem.I have read that > infections and yeasts love metals.I have just started to try olive > leaf extract liquid that is made here in Australia to see if I can > rid myself of some of these energy sapping pests. > Whats so intersting about this liquid is that for each one ml of > liquid equals i gram of LIVE leaf...not dried like in a capsule.I > have proved with other suppliments that liquid always works better > than dried tablet. Guest guest Posted June 4, 2006 Report Posted June 4, 2006 , I had some things saved in my favorites on Chorella and thought they might be helpful to you. There is a Mom on this sight that is customer support for the 1st website and product NDF and NDF+, so she might be able to help you more. There are certain protocals that should be followed when using chorella, so I would do some research, I don't know enough about it. As for Olive leaf extract, I think it a fantastic natural product to use. I also use the liquid form. It completely keeps my life long chronic cold sore problem at bay. I just bought some oil of oregano to try and get rid of some of my yeast issues as well. I don't know how affective it is yet. http://www.bioray2000.com/products/ndf.html This is a main sight with a lot of link and the following one is the article I thought was pertinent to your questions on Chorella. http://neuraltherapy.com/articlesProtocols.asp http://neuraltherapy.com/MercuryEliminationMercolaKlinghardt.pdf Good luck and I hope these links are helpful for you. - Olive leaf extract and Chlorella Hi All, First of all I wanted to say after reading a fair bit on this site...you are all fantastic parents for trying to help your children.I dont have kids, but I do know how terrible it is to have health problems that seem to never go away. The way you keep trying really moved me...so well done. Guest guest Posted June 4, 2006 Report Posted June 4, 2006 Oh, completely with you there, I have been in this for a year and still learning the 'vocabulary'. Also, new things get discovered all the time, it pays to keep yourself up to date with a few lists like this one. My friend started with removing gluten and this helped A LOT straight away (mind, she was not housebound, was still able to work but only just!) - this sorted her bloating/diarrhea and lifted lots of the fogginess. Then she went on an anti-candida diet (no sugars, inc fruits, no yeast...) for a few months only, with added enzymes, probiotics, antifungals etc. She then went on SCDdiet but realised she didn't need to stick to it 100% , she was doing fine as long as not eating too many complex carbs in a day and staying away from gluten. She also added a multivitamin with lots of magnesium in it. The thing that really helped her energy levels was mb12 sublingual (from the webshop I mentioned). I think she considers herself now about 90-95% healed, depending on days. But she does have regression, really bad days or weeks - she can usually trace them to some suspect foods or a supplement - for example she had a bad spell after trying td-glutathione cream (this could have been a detox but she decided to stop). I guess the same thing goes here as with ASD kids - everyone is different and reacts differently, you have to find what suits you best, but the things that most people do well with are diets, mb12, antivirals, chelation, LDN, fish oils, some minerals and vitamins etc. I just forwarded this to my friend, you might be familiar with it already: Subject: Autism One Radio interview on Chronoc Fatigue Syndrome, glutathione and autism Hi, all. I want to let you know that next Tuesday, May 30, at 10 a.m. Eastern time (7 a.m. Pacific time) there will be a program aired on Autism One radio (http://www.autismone.org/radio) on chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS), glutathione depletion and autism. Laurette Janak (who is an autism researcher from upstate New York and mother of an adopted niece who has both Down syndrome and autism) and myself will be interviewed by Teri Small. It's quite a long interview, so if that time is not convenient for you, you can catch the program later, whenever you want to, after it has been put into the archives, probably the following week. There will also be a second interview with the same cast of characters aired in early June that will develop the parallels between CFS, autism and magnesium depletion in more detail. I timed that one, and it's three hours long! So I recommend that people take these interviews in manageable chunks, rather than all at once. There is a fast-forward feature, so you can stop and come back to the same place later. I think this topic is really going to draw some interest. I was surprised at how many parallels we (actually mostly Laurette) found between CFS and autism. It looks as though the genetic predisposition and a lot of the biochemistry (with the exception of aspects involved with early brain development) are very similar between CFS and autism. Guest guest Posted June 4, 2006 Report Posted June 4, 2006 Hey NatasaIm looking forward to those links, but what interested me the most was the possible connection between CFS and magnesium depletion. I remember before I crashed and was in bed for a year...couldnt get up...that I craved chocolate and ate heaps of the stuff. There is a doctor who says that this craving is a misinterprated signal of magnesium depletion. Its our body saying we need more of it but we dont know any other source. If this connection is true, this is mind blowing as I just recalled that for a 12 month period prior to the sickness starting how much chocolate I ate !! This same doctor says that either chlorella or spirulina (cant remember which)is high in magnesium.Im just about to order spirulina because its high in nutrients. The thing to remeber about spirulina is that its not medicine its a food.So Im planning on getting up to at least 6-8 grams a day. But I might try some mb12 and see what happens. The above connection though is a real light bulb moment !! I hope I can get that mb12 over here in Australia. Guest guest Posted June 4, 2006 Report Posted June 4, 2006 , I buy the Wild Oats house brand. I only use it when I feel a cold sore coming on. I apply it right to my lip and also take about 5 drops 3x per day. used a much larger amount for himself and his son. I was using it before it was popular on this sight and my dosing was probably too mild. The important thing is dosing at least 3x per day to sustain the activity. I am thinking of doing a real trial for myself to see if it helps my occasional fatigue issues. About your OLE,where do you get it and how much...if you dont mind me asking? Regards Olive leaf extract and Chlorella Hi All, First of all I wanted to say after reading a fair bit on this site...you are all fantastic parents for trying to help your children.I dont have kids, but I do know how terrible it is to have health problems that seem to never go away. The way you keep trying really moved me...so well done. I found your group after trying to find out about Olive leaf extract. I have had CFS for a very long time and am looking at mercury poisoning as maybe one reason for the problem.I have read that infections and yeasts love metals.I have just started to try olive leaf extract liquid that is made here in Australia to see if I can rid myself of some of these energy sapping pests. Whats so intersting about this liquid is that for each one ml of liquid equals i gram of LIVE leaf...not dried like in a capsule.I have proved with other suppliments that liquid always works better than dried tablet. So any comments on this would be interesting. About chlorella, well Ive heard its good for ridding the body of heavy metals, increasing good bugs in the gut, helping the immune system....so any comments on this would be great. Thanks Quote

Guest guest Posted June 5, 2006 Report Posted June 5, 2006 There is no question in my mind that some Chronic Fatigue is realted to MB12 depletion and/or chronic fungal/viral infection. I have several recovery videos on www.recoveryvideos.com that address chronic fatigue and it is associated to CFS symptoms in the literature as well. I agree with this post, but caution that many people will not respond to sublingual MB12. If they do, great. But many will not for a bunch of reasons. - Stan > > > > > > Hi All, > > > First of all I wanted to say after reading a fair bit on this > > > site...you are all fantastic parents for trying to help your > > > children.I dont have kids, but I do know how terrible it is to have > > > health problems that seem to never go away. The way you keep trying > > > really moved me...so well done. > > > > > > I found your group after trying to find out about Olive leaf > extract. > > > I have had CFS for a very long time and am looking at mercury > > > poisoning as maybe one reason for the problem.I have read that > > > infections and yeasts love metals.I have just started to try olive > > > leaf extract liquid that is made here in Australia to see if I can > > > rid myself of some of these energy sapping pests. > > > Whats so intersting about this liquid is that for each one ml of > > > liquid equals i gram of LIVE leaf...not dried like in a capsule.I > > > have proved with other suppliments that liquid always works better > > > than dried tablet.
