Guest guest Posted May 26, 2006 Report Posted May 26, 2006 Hi, have you yourself tried the diet in question or tried experimenting with food elimination? Have you tried any of the biomedical treatments on yourself, like mb12, LDN and such? If you want to go down that path I suppose diet would be the place to start. In an ideal situation finding yourself a doctor familiar with DAN protocol and willing to prescribe different treatments, like mb12 nasal or shots..LDN is also helping lots of people with lots of different types of problems, it is supposedly helping regulate the immune system, which could only be good news for allergies and sensitivities... Is your son currently on any of those treatments? Hope others here will have more suggestions. Best, Natasa > > I just saw the recover video on the 49 year old lady and I was blown > away. Guest guest Posted May 26, 2006 Report Posted May 26, 2006 Skin issues do not bother me but..I've found some clues to a lifetime of marginal health as I've traveled this road with my 21 year old. She seizes on gluten and casein. Going gfcf for me meant a gut that finally did not hurt. One thing that has helped me sort this out has been fasting. If you can do 10 days of no solids; you can keep your blood sugar maintained with about 8 ounces of a pure juice that you tolerate-spaced throughout the day in water[i found that I did not need the juice]; you will be amazed at the difference in how you feel. The first couple of days produce headaches, fuzzy mouth etc but plenty of water helps moderate the negatives. Adding back solids very slowly and 1 food group at a time helped me to sort things out for intolerances. I've never lost over a pound/day doing this so it does not provoke heavy weight loss. > > I just saw the recover video on the 49 year old lady and I was blown > away. Guest guest Posted May 26, 2006 Report Posted May 26, 2006 At this point in time all my money goes to my sons recovery and in all truth I do without for him. Yes has has a DAN! and all the therapy and such money can buy. I have never tried gfcf casue of the expense...he gets it and gets the organic...I get the 10 for a buck ramine noodles.LOL! I have a wonderful doc who can " manage it some " but in the last 2 years it has gotten out of control. One thing that has helped keep it in line some is the B-12 and steroids but the shots are expensive frankly lately I haven't gone to get one...again to spend on . I am just wondering what I am missing...and is there a cure and what causes this? Do others have it...I don't know any who do. The one place I do spend money is for cleaning supplies, I simply cannot use detergent, even things like all free still hurt...but 7th generation I can use. Guest guest Posted May 26, 2006 Report Posted May 26, 2006 i have a grown daughter who has had skin issues since jr high. she has many marks on her face. when she went to college and got a physical, what ever test she took, the doc asked her did she have chicken pox as a child. she said no (not that we know of). the doc said her blood indicates this. anyway, im wondering if the marks on her face are due to out of control viruses in her. she is a professional woman with no other health issues except the condition of her face. tried every facial product on the market, etc. she has a healthy diet, mostly vegetarian. not overweight... i want her to get a viral panel done. we shall see... vicki Quote
Guest guest Posted May 27, 2006 Report Posted May 27, 2006 WOW..this I am willing to try. So..just thinking here..is the general idea that what is going on with me is not so much an out side thing, but an inside issue? I live a life where if I touch something..say raw potatoes..which I have to becuse I make all my son's food, then I break out and live in pain for days..it's just life so I do it and go on. The idea is then, it isn't actually the potato as much as it is a reaction to something inside causing this...I never considered that..no MD has either that I know of. Do you think it's safe enough to fast even though I have 4 kids in my home 12 hours a day...3 requiring constant care and therapy? Will I be able to keep clear headed enough for this? > > > > I just saw the recover video on the 49 year old lady and I was > blown > > away. Guest guest Posted May 27, 2006 Report Posted May 27, 2006 Hi, if I were you I'd find a BioSet practitioner or an EAV practitioner and find out what's going on in your body. Nothing like that to give an accurate read of what's going on. Then I would NOT " clear " it but if the practitioner deals in homeopathic remedies (single ones preferably NOT those who dole out multiple remedies in a bottle under the guise of homeopathic preps - sorry a little biased here) then I would take that information to a classical homeopath and have him/her treat me for a miasm or the homeopathic remedy that comes up. When your body is so reactive it seems to me that you are crying for a homeopathic remedy. Chances are you would go through a 200 C really fast and then a 1M by about a week or 10 days and might need to go to a 10M fairly quickly. Usually they have you return in 3-4 weeks which is too much for some people, hopefully if you do go down this route you can find someone who is accessible and a willing and open listener. Good luck, it must be awful to have to deal with that, usually stress will exacerbate chronic conditions into something that acute. See if you can lessen your stress in some way :-) yes, I know, I know!!! Take care. Gayatri > > > > > > I just saw the recover video on the 49 year old lady and I was > > blown > > > away. Guest guest Posted May 27, 2006 Report Posted May 27, 2006 Just getting back from Autism One in Chicago. Met some great people and there were some really interesting and classic moments. I have my presentation on video. I'll have the produced in the next week or so. About Skin Issues and Crystal, the woman in my 49 years of eczema video. In my experience, skin issues are related to an autoimmune response to a perceived toxin in the body, generally related to the gut leaking a food peptide and/or bacteria and fungus. What worked with Crystal and most of the people I coach regarding eczema is the removal of foods that cause bacteria and fugus to grow, and the foods that commonly set off the immune system. Bascially, it's going back to the foods that we ate before the world became so populated we needed to process our foods and develop new foods that are cheap and made for convienence. I've called the diet, The Caveman Diet, but don't let that scare you. I'm better at research than naming things. There are two videos to watch to get up to speed. One is Elaine Gottschall's tribue video located at our video website wwww.recoveryvideos.com The second is Bill Shaw PhD's video talking about our school and our diet program (same website). The first introduces you to the concept that complex foods feed bacteria and fungus, the second talks a bit about foods that set off the immune system. Then take a peek at www.childrenscornerschool.com/diet.htm This is our starter diet. This is what cleared Crystal up, and many people like her, in days. You have to be strict, especially in the beginning. I would start there and give it a two week trial. Most people will start to see results in days. If it works, I would continue it. Crystal has been doing the diet for about a year now. Then, I would get an IGG Food Allergy Test by blood, specifically from Great Plains Laboratories (they'll even mail you the test kit) or Doctors Data (only these two labs for this test). Then let us know the results and we'll tell you what you can add back into your food program. All the best, - Stan > > > > > > I just saw the recover video on the 49 year old lady and I was > > blown > > > away. Does anyone on this list have the same skin issues as I > do? Guest guest Posted May 28, 2006 Report Posted May 28, 2006 Looked into Bioset several years ago for me son...not one within hours of me...but there is a homeopath about 3 hours from here. Would it be wish to just go there first? I never though about that route..honestly I was born allergic and just learned to cope and deal. Last year however, I was hospitalized for several days due to a bad heart and despite my screaming about allergies was exposed to things that hurt me. From that point on I have been unable to get this out of my system. I am sure there is a connection there somehow but what I don't know. Thanks. > > > > > > > > I just saw the recover video on the 49 year old lady and I was > > > blown > > > > away. Does anyone on this list have the same skin issues as I > > do?
