Guest guest Posted May 18, 2006 Report Posted May 18, 2006 , Thanks for the post. I am glad for you and your son! We ran VS on my son (4 yrs old) with good results (up to 18 caps/day) but then he stopped eating. I stopped it for a couple of months and tried to reintroduce it at 2/3 of a cap. Within 1/2 hour of the first and only dose he was saying his belly hurt. I know of one other person whose little one (she is five) gets a stomach ache from it. I wonder why this happens? I suspect your son does not have the same issue? He stopped complaining of the stomach aches and we still saw gains thankfully. Quote

This is from the Enzymedica website for anyone interested: " This formulation is used to optimize the amount of protease absorbed into the bloodstream to break down the protein invaders which are not part of the natural body. The results of Virastop™ have been seen in the blood within ten minutes after ingestion whether there was food in the stomach or not " Anita Quote

Guest guest Posted May 18, 2006 Report Posted May 18, 2006 That's great news that you can give the VS with food as well as on an empty stomach. I cannot think of that many times per day when my son's stomach is actually empty! Does the same hold true for the OLE? Do you all give the VS and OLE together? Sheryl Re: ViraStop comment - Devin Houston's response/ > My son did start to complain of a stomach ache I think around 8 caps a > day. I started giving them with food. Guest guest Posted May 18, 2006 Report Posted May 18, 2006 I suppose that is especially true if the food in the gut is not a protein! I give ds all his supplements at the same time. It may not be optimal but it is what works for us. I did recently pull the OLE as my ds became constipated. Quote
