Guest guest Posted May 10, 2006 Report Posted May 10, 2006 Hi Everyone! I'm new to these group and I am so grateful I found it. I've been reading all your messages and learning alot. I want to start Valtrex and Diflucan on my almost ten years old son, he is a big boy, 5' 1'' and 136 pounds. Do anybody have any idea on how much Valtrex should I give him? I'm going to see a doctor and wanted to have an idea. Also, he came back positive for clostridia in a stool test, he bites his hands alot and bangs his head. Should I treat him for clostridia first and then do the Valtrex ? and if I do should I treat him with Flagyl? Any suggestions? Thank you in advance. Luzmaria Quote
Guest guest Posted May 10, 2006 Report Posted May 10, 2006 Hi Luzmaria, A DAN! friend read your post and sent me some comments privately to share with you. Sometimes professionals do not wish to respond to people in a public forum. My friend suggests Saccromyces Boulardii three times a day and use activated charcoal to ease any die off. She was concerned about possible side effects of Flagyl and suggest this route instead. I agree with her and to add to her comments in my experience clostridia tells me that you are feeding your child complex carbs and their immune system can't manage the feeding of clostridia. My son's first was GFCF which worked for a time and then he seemed to level off. When I rechecked with an OATs test his candida was down and his clostridia counts were really high. What was the difference? We replaced milk with rice milk. The rice was feeding the clostridia. We then went SCD minus IGG food allergies and added lactobacillius GG and it was quickly resolved. If you have clostridia, I strongly suggest taking out the complex carbs like rice and pastas so you aren't killing it off with the SB or Lacto GG and then feeding it with the complex carbs. - Stan > > Hi Everyone! > I'm new to these group and I am so grateful I found it. Guest guest Posted May 11, 2006 Report Posted May 11, 2006 Hi Oriana, Thanks for speaking about it. Forgive me, but what about the potatoes and pasta? You're feeding his yeast, causing toxicity and alchohol (yeast plus complex carbs and/or sugars = alchohol). That's probably why he's addicted to these carbs. I would ditch the carbs and replace them with vegatables, meats... consider buying a juicer ($99 dollars at costco) and sneaking in organic spinach with organic pears and apples... it's really yummy. It is very likely you won't get anywhere until you get the diet under control. You're sort of feeding the autism right now. You might have a rough couple of days, but you'll get over that pretty quickly if your child starts functioning better, which is what often happens when you get this under control. Let us know how you do. - Stan > > > > Hi Everyone! > > I'm new to these group and I am so grateful I found it. I've been > reading all your messages and learning alot.
