My son has gone through periods of eating trouble too. Medication can be a big

part of eating problems, especially a med like Abilify which is known to affect

appetite. I wonder if something hurts that you can't see. Maybe try some tylenol

about 45min before dinner and see if that helps. One thing we did that has

helped a lot is get our son to drink pedisure. It helps get enough calories and

nutrition into him when he goes through rough patches with eating.

right?)Like she'll only eat oatmeal, chips and broccoli right now. Another thing

is whenever we're eating dinner, she'll start off eating okay, maybe taking a

few bites, then all of a sudden, she'll break out crying and she'll throw a

tantrum. But at the same time, she'll point to her food like she wants more, but

still crying. We checked her mouth for sores and such and it's clear. She just

went to the dentist and everything checked out okay. How I know it's more of a

behavior thing is because if I'm feeding her noodles, for example, she'll look

over and see a bag of chips and point to them and scream and throw a tantrum. We

can't keep giving her chips. We buy her those veggie stix and she loves those

too. We figure they're healthier than chips. Are any of your kiddos experiencing

this? Could it be medicine related? Her dose of Abilify did increase around the

same time she started the weird appetite. Thanks in advance!

She may be overstimulated at the restaurant.  My son used to cry when we took him out and he would put his hands over his ears.  It was too loud for him and he couldn't take it.
